Chelsea veteran Gus Poyet will manage Musonda next season: http://realbetisbalompie.es/es/noticias/actualidad/6883/gustavo-poyet-entrenador-del-real-betis-para-las-d I think i remember he tends to favor possesion based football (4-3-3). Hope he takes Musonda to the next level next year, it also helps they both speak english!

Wich winger do you think we should bring in that might be available? I don't see alot of options without champions league football. I agree that we need another winger for width en depth. Hopefully someone that can peak higher than Willian and Pedro, but it's going to be very hard to find that guy (please no Cuadrado).

Lube up boys!

Looks like he will get a guarenteed call up for the Belgium squad (against Portugal) now that Hazard and KDB are out
-
For one of the upcoming friendlies id say probably yes, now that KDB will be out for those. Wilmots is already scouting him, and he's always been a big advocate for youth in the past, examples: Bakkali, Januzaj, Ferrerra, Denayer, Praet, Tielemans, etc. If he will take him to the euros is a different matter. That will depend on injuries mostly because our AM department is quite stacked with Hazard, Mertens, Chadli, KDB, Ferrera-carrasco, Mirallas... But you never know, Origi was also a surprise call up at the World Cup.
-
I don't think Charly wasted that much time tbh. He's already playing in a bigger league than Tielemans (who's stagnating at Anderlecht to be fair), and is enjoying regular playing time. Depending on injuries, he might even make the euros because Wilmots was scouting him yesterday. Im pretty sure Wilmots will call him up for one of the upcoming friendlies. Lukaku and DeBruyne both wasted time moving up the ranks, and see where they are now. If he's good enough (and i know he is), he'll reach the top anyway. For now, let's just keep him at Betis for another year and bleed him back in once we have some stable management. He'd get hacked to bits like Hazard if he would play here now, he'll get more protection from the refs in La Liga.
-
Wouldn't be surprised he gets a call up for one of the upcoming friendlies. For all his faults, Wilmots is not afraid to give youth chances.

I think it was a very smart choice to loan him out to Betis in La Liga for his development. Although Real Betis is a pretty poor team, the exposure he's getting there is already invaluable. Nobody would be talking about him if he had the same debut in Ligue1, The Championship, or The Eredivisie. They are already raving about him in various Spain media after 1 game, and if he continues to play like this, he will surely land a better loan destination within La Liga in the near future. When you look at players like Mata, Silva, Isco,... They all started their careers at second tier La Liga teams before becoming key players at Valencia, Malaga,... and eventually taking the big leap in joining Chelsea, City, Real,... La Liga to me is the ideal learning ground for young playmakers, even though it's dominated by Barca and Real. The most important thing now is that he plays alot. If i compare him with Boga: Boga is already 6 months at Rennes, and still doesn't manage to grab a consistent starting spot (in an equally bad team). Or they start him horribly out of position (lone striker). Betis already gave Musonda squad nr. 8 and a full 90 min debut game, after 1 training week. That alone shows us that they are putting alot of faith in him, and aren't afraid to field him.
-
Bring him in i say. I would hate Conte because that would mean we will play the same style of Football as with Mourinho. Pellegrini's outlook towards positive football is in the same vein as Guus. Conte's style of play would destroy everything Guus is building now.
-
His language skills are pretty impressive, and his willingness to do so even more. He also fluently speaks dutch, english, and french. If you look at our squad, players like Costa, Willian, Oscar, and even Hazard are still struggling hard with english. It's no surprise to me though, Charly always had a very good work ethic and drive, something that Hazard is missing tbh. Back in Anderlecht, Charly would prepare powerpoint presentations and show them before training to his fellow players. His youth team coach at Anderlecht (Yannick Ferrera), who is the coach of Standard now, said that his maturity towards playing the game is what he would expect from a 30 year old. Anyway, i hope he can cement a starting spot towards the end of his 6 month loan spell. That should be his goal now!

It's official now: https://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2016/01/musonda-in-betis-loan.html His spanish sounds pretty good already, guess he got some help from Thibaut :
-
Arrived at Sevilla this evening, guess we'll have confirmation before the weekend.
-
Well that team is struggling to score since november, so they're in dire need voor creative players. Do you (or anyone else) happen to know wich type of football Betis play?
-
We're finally playing football in the big matches, and it's a joy to watch :).

Looks like Hiddink is taking a look today at wich prospect to send on loan: Collins; Dabo, Aina, Davey, Baba Rahman; Loftus-Cheek, Houghton; Atsu, Musonda, Traore; Bamford. Several scouts from different clubs are also taking a look. Looks like Rayo Vallecano, Lille, and Bayer Leverkusen are considering to take Musonda on loan:
-
GIVE WILLIAN THE POTY AWARD ALREADY.
-
They actually only have 1 more game to play this year . Musonda's not a part of the U19 youth league squad. Also good news, he's going out on loan. Before he removed and edited the post, he wrote that he's looking forward to continue his development on loan (and one day become a Chelsea player). Hopefully it's not Vitesse or a championship side, im betting it's a french team. Hopefully it's AS Monaco or Olympique Marseille. Edit: Apparently West Ham are in pole position to take him on loan, because Chelsea want him to become physically stronger and get used to the Premier League. Monaco and Marseille are also interested. But they are only interested in a 18 month long loan (West Ham would also prefer that). https://www.voetbalkrant.com/nl/nieuws/lees/2015-12-07/musonda-zou-deze-winter-voor-18-maanden-uitgeleend-worden

Musonda apparently has a new agent "Aidy Ward": http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/voetbal/buitenland/Engeland/1.2512428. It's the same agent Raheem Sterling has, and it looks that he wants to leave permanently. Edit: He also put out this instagram picture with Raheem Sterling: https://www.instagram.com/p/-Oom73IeEb/?taken-by=charlymusondajr He edited the text recently, but i remember that he wrote "With the big bro RS7, soon we will be playing in the same pitch".
-
Was again the standout player today with RLC and Bertrand Traore also in the team (RLC was a close second). Apparently Mourinho was watching the game with his coaching staff.
-
This is what Adi Viveash (coach of our U21's, and the guy who won us the Uefa youth League) said about Musonda at the end of last season: The youth coach rated him higher than Jeremie Boga/RLC/Colkett..., but in the end the decision is with Mourinho, in who he promotes to play for the first team. Im mostly curious though if they would allow him to join Arsenal. Can they really reject a 15 million bid for a player who never played 1st team football?
-
I agree, but if we sell him. he'll end up at PSG, Arsenal or any other team in a couple of years. AS Monaco are pretty notorious at the moment in developing youngsters and selling them for big bucks. On the other hand, it doesn't look like Mourinho is interested in the small/technical players from our academy (Colkett, Boga, Musonda). He prefers physical beasts like Ola Aina and Loftus-Cheek (although they barely get any chances). So i can see Mourinho not too bothered to sell him instead of loaning him out.
-
Apparently, Musonda is gonna leave in January. There are reports that both Arsenal and Monaco want to improve their bid to 15 million (they offered 10 million in the summer): http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/617227/Arsenal-News-Joel-Campbell-Chelsea-Tottenham-Transfer-News-Gossip. AS Monaco are saying they can guarantee Musonda a starting place. They want him on a permanent basis, but would also opt for a loan if Chelsea doesn't want to sell. Wenger is also keen about Musonda and are keeping check about his current situation. Gotta say 15 million is a lot of money, i don't think Chelsea can still deny these offers. I would rather want if they loan him out, because selling him to Monaco i can see him ending up at Arsenal either way in 3 years times (if he keeps progressing like he is currently). Charly also said in a recent interview that he's gonna play in january, at Chelsea or elsewhere.
-
Tbh, i think this is our strongest starting XI. I would only swap Oscar for Hazard.
-
Our seasons over, play the youth and avoid relegation. I think Mourinho is gone too by monday.
-
Bye José...
