To be really honest, if we had to choose between Reus or Pogba. I would take Pogba in a heartbeat, image a midfield trio of Matic/Cesc/Pogba... that would be godlike. Aside from Real, i can't see him going anywhere else than us (maybe City). There is also the fact Mourinho really likes him.

Idd, im pretty certain some fresh blood will come in. One can hope they are quality though because its still a long season.

Idd, he's not on the same lvl as Hazard and Fabregas. But still more than good enough for a supporting role next season if we can get a quality winger coming in.

People are focusing on Schürrle only atm, but Oscar also got subbed at half-time for a second time (in a row). It's obvious now that we will bring in some players this transfer window.

Let me expand on that. Ivanovic probably has instructions to bomb forward because Willian likes to drift inside. When Schürrle plays, Ivanovic doesn't have the space to go wide because André tends to stay wide. Im probably playing to much football manager, but if we are gonna spend some hard cash in the summer. Signing Pogba will arguably make a bigger impact than adding Reus (altough i like Reus alot). Pogba can play the box-to-box midfielder helping Matic in defense, and Cesc offensively. Cesc has been overall pretty good in the pivot, but against the bigger teams our midfield tends to get bullied pretty hard (City, Tottenham). With an extra CM Fabrégas defensive responsibilty's will lower a ton. Just look at the games against West-Ham and second half Southampton. Cesc enjoyed so much offensive freedom there with Matic and Mikel behind. Just imagine a midfield trio of Matic/Pogba and Fabregas in CAM. Oscar is probably the odd man out, but imo he's still too lightweight to rely upon against the bigger clubs. Mourinho already really likes Pogba (named him his favorite young player at the World Cup), and i would not be surprised we will bid for him in the summer. I hope Reus comes but let's say Cuadrado would also be fine. A winger that is offensive, but also good in the build up/linkup.

Anyone also feel bad for the guy? He had some troubling spells during the first half coupled with a really nice second half spell (except for that cross towards the end). He's probably the 1 player i think that would improve massively with more game-time, although i doubt Mourinho is going to give it to him.

Willian completely useless, i don't agree. You might be a bit too biased, the team played 10 times better with Willian than with Schürrle in the team. He had a couple of good through balls (one that led to the misfortuned Cesc slip) + he played much deeper than Cesc this game to help the team in central midfield.Just check the second half a bit closer. Must be embarrassing for Schürrle to be subbed at half-time for the X time. I agree that Reus would be a dream, but i doubt it is going to happen in january. Still we probably need an extra winger coming in in january, because clearly Schürrle and Salah can't be relied upon for the second half of the season. Willian might probably not be the answer long term, but we most probably have to make due with him for the remainder of the season as our main RW.
