Top fan.

Only reason he's not playing is because of a certain Hazard. it's no rocket science Andre like to play on the left so he can cut in and shoot (his best quality). he's never going to be a starter as long as Hazard is here. on the right, Willian is just better at keeping the ball and tracking back.

Perfect midfielder.
-
He really reminds me of John Terry too. his blocks and tackles are perfect. in the air, he's always going to win the ball.
-
heroic defending by the back 4.

I really am puzzled about this lad. his record is outstanding but whenever I see him play, I don't see anything special. he's a strong center forward who has pace. pace without the ball, not with it. his dribbiling is rusty/not the cleanest. but his power makes him difficult to stop, although when he faces a good defender who knows how to tackle; he's always going to lose the ball. he's not really good with the ball with his feet. not like Aguero/Rooney/Suarez. he's more of a Van Persie/Negredo kind of center forward, these two both don't dribble, but they're good finishers and are technically good. The problem with Costa is; he's technically nowhere near V.persei's / Negredo's level. his first touch is just off. he's only strong tbh. I'd rather have a Falcao/Cavani if we're going with a target man kind of striker. also never seen his shot power, looks kinda weak for a powerful guy.

good signing for Vitesse

39 shots on goal today and didn't look like we're ever gonna score. 3 shots from Eto'o vs united and we win 3-1. thats football, can't believe people are questioning Jose's selection/subs. we played fantastically well today, the tempo was insane from minute 1. we need a striker who can finish and dribbile so he can create for himself, our midfield cant save us every game.

How exactly is he going to be a better signing than Salah? we need a left footed right winger who can cut in like Hazard and we got one for a bargain.

Jose Mourinho has been recalling his time as Joe Cole's manager, saying he is pleased he was able to develop our former midfielder, now at West Ham, into a better player. Cole is yet to turn out at Stamford Bridge since leaving Chelsea in 2010, and unfortunately injury prevents him from playing any part in today's game, where he would certainly have received a fantastic reception from former colleagues and supporters alike. Cole was a key component of Mourinho's title-winning sides in 2005 and 2006, with the Portuguese helping convert our former number 10 from a skilful midfielder capable of individual brilliance to a team player capable of consistency and quality in equal measure. Mourinho reflected on that transformation ahead of our game with Cole's current employers, West Ham. 'I very much enjoyed working with Joe,' our manager said. 'Maybe I'm wrong - and Joe is the one that can say if I'm wrong or not - but my opinion is that with us he had the best time of his career. He had a difficult five or six months but after that I think he had the best three years of his career with Chelsea and as a consequence of that with England, because he was a regular player for England too. 'As a coach Joe is one of the examples you keep, and I keep a lot from my career, where you feel that we did something to make a player better. I like this because when you have players with talent but not other things, you can give them the other things. When the players have the other things but they don't have the talent, you cannot give them the talent. 'The way you train, the way you face competition, the responsibility to play in a collective situation and be ready to play in different positions and in different tactical systems - these are the things we managers can give them. Joe was a very talented player at that time and I think we helped him to be better.' http://www.chelseafc.com/news-article/article/3642304/title/mourinho-a-great-example Everyone needs to read this. I'm pretty sure he's slagging Mata there.

would have been the perfect striker for us.
-
He doesn't look like these new center backs who can play ball. i.e: pass/build from back Looks like your old school center back who is strong and good in the air; not sure he would fit the system here because he's not technically gifted. as Jose said; we want to play from the back.
-
It's not like the league is swarmed with world class left backs. PVA is a really good left back, I don't see why we should spend 20+ quid on a left back when we have 2 young promising ones.

I have to say; I hate it when Lukaku is compared to Drogba. when Drogba was in France he had a good first touch/technique, I don't think he "developed it" whilst he was with us. with Lukaku, the lad just isn't good enough technically. he needs to improve his first touch and link up play. he also needs to use his body to its potential, the lad has great potential but I just don't think he's good enough, yet. loaning him was definitely the right move. I always said I like strikers like Suarez/Rooney/Aguero who can create goals for themselves because they're skillful.those are the type of forwards we need to go for in the summer. enough with number 9's, because all of them flopped here. Lukaku is the type of forward who needs service.

The thing with Van Ginkel is, personally I think he's a skinnier version of Matic. they're both more defensive and are not goal scoring midfielders ala Lampard/Gerrard. this is why I think we need a more creative central midfielder who can create goals and score them. Kroos is a great finisher and passing is one of his best attributes. Matic and Van Ginkel can rotate while they play alongside a more "driving forward" midfielder.

This is the guy who makes the most tackles/wins the ball back in the team with Ramires, and he's useless when he doesn't score? his work rate and stamina are immense, out of this world for an offensive player. he's not your typical flashy number 10, he's a workaholic and more of a direct player than the likes of Mata/Ozil/Silva who like to keep the ball between their feet. he does the job. If everyone in our team works as hard as Oscar does in our team, we would dominate.
-
This guy is just brilliant. solid player with a great pass and a thunder shot. he's a mix of Lamps/Gerrard/Scholes. Top, top player.
-
I want this guy, but he looks like a proper c*nt sometimes.
-
Great stuff Matic, clean tackler and solid. Mourinho needs to stop playing Ramires on the right wing ffs. can't believe we're still seeing him there. hopefully Salah is going to earn that position soon. about time we sign a left footed winger.
-
Spurs fuked us over Modric, Utd fuked us over Rooney and here we are selling one of the best players we ever had to utd. still can't see how the board allow this to happen. so when City come in for Hazard next year, there is a chance we sell him? that's worrying.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iupsSS5AK2M If anyone is wondering why Mata lost his no10 position, I think this video sums everything up. The amount of times he wins the balls back is absolutely ridiculous. I've never seen an offensive player tackle as much as this lad does. Mourinho is always going to play the hard worker type of player than the naturally gifted.
-
Mata is probably the nicest guy in football after Zola. the last 6 months, he was miserable. I think if we look at this deal in a humane way, the lad deserves to be happy again. he didn't want to leave but he had no choice. it's ridiculous how Jose treated him, he didn't deserve being left out all of a sudden. I don't blame him for leaving, I blame Jose; because like it or not, he destroyed his career here. fingers should be pointed at him when Mata does well with united. he obviously didn't want to leave, we forced him out.
-
Don't want to see some random player (ala Benayoun) wearing the no10 shirt tbh. I think he deserves the no10, not important but would be a nice marketing touch.
-
The awkward moment when Mata has more followers than Man utd's twitter account...

what a fuking guy
