  1. Past hour
  2. Chelsea no longer have the spending power because of how Clearlake have made us fall within fouling of UEFA FFP rules. Havent even secured a shirt sponsor to help amend matters.
  3. That sounds like a manager problem. If your going to play a CB with limited passing ability and your obsession/tactic is to have possession of the ball, then that is a glaring hole in your tactical system. We used to have guys like Zouma at CB and the managers didn't really force them to carry the ball out as they knew they had limited passing skills. Maresca should have a plan B for when his 'preferred' CB's aren't available.
  4. 💣🔥Maresca and Chelsea could part ways in next hours. Very tense. (@FabrizioRomano)
  5. As part of his compensation package, he probably won't. Wish these things were open though. Like the Torres transfer under Ancelotti.
  6. The biggest thing about Arsenal recently has been their ruthless buying in the transfer market. That's something we used to do at Chelsea under Roman! From memory, they were all over the Caicedo deal (think it was 75 million at the time) but then Brighton didn't agree to the transfer. They went and got young Mosquera and Hincapie as defensive depth and they already have arguably the best CB partnership in the league. Also getting Madueke was a good deal for them as he won't be starting every game
  7. Don't have much hope with Rosenior but least we have that tiny bit of hope he might turn good, with Maresca we have nothing, guy isn't good enough for a top team and never will be.
  8. Today
  9. lol they said that he is very inexperient and young
  10. Trust the process for another 2 years before Liam is sacked … then do it all over again! Fun, Fun, Fun. The only way this ends well for us as fans is the next manager which i reckon will be Liam pulls of a miracle and gets us playing put of our skin and surprises everyone. I see no evidence of that happening with any of the managers on our shortlist.
  11. The next yes-man Just hope we don't freefall into mid table.
  12. Liam Rosenoir 😂 Happy New Year Chels!!
  13. Hope Maresca reveals EVERYTHING to the media about what led to this. Tell us what’s going on with the directors etc so we know exactly where to direct our anger. If they try to play the “this was only about results on the pitch” card we know they’re lying.
  14. 💣One solution would be for Chelsea to turn to Liam Rosenior, who has long been viewed as a potential successor to Maresca. [guardian] (@guardian_sport)
  15. Jacob Steinberg now reporting Maresca is out the door tomorrow

  17. It’s about style of play and extracting the maximum from what you’ve got. When I watch Iraola’s side play I’ve been very impressed. Likewise Marco Silva. They both get given very little in the market and in Iraola’s case his team was completely picked apart this past summer so I feel like it’s harsh to judge him based on this current run of form. Lost their captain, their two starting CB’s, their star LB (at the time) and have had a bunch of injuries. Look, I’m not saying he’s prime Mourinho or something but I’ve liked what I’ve seen. I wouldn’t be losing my head if we went for him like I will if they chose Rosenoir.
  18. Iraola?? For real? What’s he done? The standards are in the mud!
  19. Under Iraola, Bournemouth have finished 12th 9th and are now 15th. How are people seeing him a fit for a place so results driven as Chelsea?
  20. Iraola or Emery I’d take in a heartbeat. Glasner I’m not sure about. Marco Silva is an excellent coach but has that same sort of “takes no shit” personality that Maresca has and he’d probably clash with the board just like Enzo has eventually. I fucking love Conte and feel a hard man/authoritarian manager like him is exactly what this club needs. I’d take him back in an instant. But this board would never bring someone in who would call their shit out and drag them.
  21. 💣BREAKING: Enzo Maresca is considering his position as Chelsea head coach. [@SkyKaveh]
  22. Poch already had problems with the management, and it's not hard to understand why. Nobody wants to work with a management like that, which only tries to sign players up to 24 years old. It's ridiculous, and you rarely see this in modern football. It wouldn't surprise me if no coach tolerates this in the medium to long term.
  23. Walking straight into the Man City job in a few months it looks like
  24. Won the CWC, UECL, finished top 4, currently top 5. He's met every reasonable expectation set at the start of his tenure.
