Man eats 25,000th Big Mac

A retired prison guard in the US has eaten his 25,000th Big Mac.

It has been 39 years to the day since Don Gorske ate his first nine.

At a ceremony in his honour at a McDonald's in his hometown of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, he said he would continue to eat Big Macs "until I die".

Mr Gorske, 57, appeared in the 2004 documentary film Super Size Me, which looks at the impact of a daily diet of McDonald's food. He is thin and his cholesterol is said to be low.

"When I was 19 years old I had eaten my first 1,000 Big Macs and I was kind of like, I thought how long before I hit 10,000?" he said before eating the world record 25,000th burger on Tuesday.

"Then it was like boy, by the time I hit 25,000 I will be old and retired. Well wouldn't you know, I'm not super old, I am 50-something, but I am retired and stuff, but you don't dream of living so long as to reach a milestone like that."

Jokes aside, i honestly just dont know why you'd want to eat that many. I have had one before and tbh, they are nothing to shout about at all. McDonalds is a verrrry over-rated place to eat (note, i refuse to consider it as a restaurant hahah)

Its good to pig out in Mcdonalds once in a while (as in 3/4 maybe 5 times a year) but this is just insane but then again is that any different from smoking 5 a day?

When i first joined wilkinson when i was 16, i ate McDonalds every day for 6 months n got up to about 13 and a half stone so that wasn't very good, addicted to the McChicken sandwich rofl. I eat McDonalds here n there when i get vouchers, even today i took 5 pages worth of vouchers with 8 meals on each.

Nothing wrong with Maccy D's.

Nothing wrong with McDonald's, I think it's very good (although BK shades it due to their Bacon Double Cheeseburger and Onion Rings) if eaten sparingly. I alternate between Maccy D's, Fish & Chips, and Subway (There isn't a Burger King in my town).

They took BK away from kingston a few years ago too the fuckers so i just have to spam McDonalds now. Big Mac, McChicken Mayo, Chips, McFlurry and a Coke... sorted lol
