I reject religion and supernaturalism just as a growing child rejects Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy: as nothing but infantile fantasies passed from generation to generation and, in the case of organised religion, it seems to have the sole purpose of converting the masses to fatalistic defeatism and apathy thus avoiding revolutionary desires.

People are born atheists, they are converted to simpletons.

At worst, religion is a force for unmitigated evil directed by a hierarchy of deep-dyed degenerates with no regard for life, human or otherwise....

Why Christianity and not Judaism? Why Islam and not Hinduism? Why monotheism and not polytheism? Every position has had its defenders, all as ardent as those in other traditions. They can't all be right, but they can all be wrong.

Organised religion is a controlling, dumbing down device like a soap opera, or Prozac for suppressing individual thought and any proletariat uprising.

God is a man made concept, a fairy tale passed down from generation to generation. A comfort blanket for the needy, nothing more.

Agreed, but for some people, that comfort blanket is what keeps them going, and that should still be respected in my eyes ;)

There is more evidence that alien life forms have encountered us during our anient times, then any evidence of an eternal being.

I read an article the other day about an alien lifeform (or whatever they may have called it) somewhere in Russia. A lot of articles have related to it as a hoax however!

Watched a program myself about the possiblility that alien could have influenced some of the hertiage of ours species, like a certain Egytian emprepor that changed the whole belief system under his charge to one about a God from the sky (aliens), and also about how the mythical Gods of greek could have been mistranslated as aliens, and that myths such as Hercules could have been that of half-alien beings.

But in terms to what i said above, i kind of need to re-state :D

I'm Atheist myself.

That being said I respect other people's views. But if they try and shove it down my throat, I will do the same back..

My thoughts exactly, but ironically i use "god" references just for the sake of it like "omg", "jesus Christ" etc.. I know that sounds contradicting and that some atheists don't even care but I know people who get offended.

Hahaha I get annoyed at people who start "praying" at times like exams when they've gone the entire year without practising their religion at all.
