Religion

I see your point but it has being thrown in my face. Some guy up town came up to me and asked if I had time to pray to God and stuff, I said no, he replied 'Oh an Atheist are we'? The way he said it was annoying and made it sound like if I were in the wrong. He then started telling me I should find time and my way for a better life and to believe. That's just one example lol.

Yeah, in your example it's said in spite.

Don't worry, I've come across that kind of stuff too. The best thing to do is fuck with their mind :D

I work with a religious nutjob, she's mental. When religion comes into your life it takes over it and you lose your freedom. She says I'm going to hell just because I don't believe in god.

We were put on this earth to eat sleep and reproduce (all 3 as much as possible). We're no better than animals, that's why we murder and we're greedy, somewhere down the line we got civilised from the cavemen we were. Money and religion were used as ways to control and civilise us.

My view on religions :

"For years, religions did nothing but divide."

There's nobody in the sky, there's nobody under the ground. Both God and Evil are in each one of us. It's just up to you to act in a good way or wrong way. God is for your good side, and the Devil is for your bad side.

Though, I believe that what are saying the Bible and Koran aren't bullshit. Those books are just a metaphor. God was created by men on purpose to explain what they couldn't know (the sun, the stars, the universe, etc...).

ps : what I can't stand about religions, it's their spiritual leaders. I don't get how they can claim to interpret the Bible/Koran better than everyone.

Yep, it's these religious zealots that go around brainwashing ignorant, gullible people in to believing something that they claim is written in those books.

I have seen religion save people. I have also seen religion kill people.

Also, most of the atheists I know preach about atheism as much as devout faithfuls preach about their own religion. One of my friends even cites from a dog-eared copy of The God Delusion, as if it were actually the Bible.

The point is, everyone is annoying and needs to keep their beliefs out of my face. :tiphat:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sampoong_Department_Store_collapse

scrolled down to the recovery part

Two days after the collapse, some officials said that anybody who was still in the building must have already died; therefore, further efforts would be made only towards "recovery" and not "rescue". This conflicts with other people's experience that people can survive much longer. Despite the sweltering heat, those who were not rescued in the first few days were able to avoid dehydration by drinking rainwater. The last to be rescued, 19-year-old Park Seung Hyun (박승현; 朴勝賢), was pulled from the wreckage 17 days after the collapse with a few scratches. She said that she heard the sounds of other survivors drowning in the fire department's deflation[clarification needed] water.

as blulion also said, sometimes god said no.

I am a muslim....well born as one anyway. I didnt read the quran, i dont pray nor do I go to the mosque....and to be honest I am not even sure if there is a god (evolution and so on). Anyways right now I don't think about religion, i have just learned to respect everyone's beliefs and tolerate everyone. There will come a day when I will have to sit down and decide whether I want to remove muslim from my ID or fully practice islam.

I reject religion and supernaturalism just as a growing child rejects Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy: as nothing but infantile fantasies passed from generation to generation and, in the case of organised religion, it seems to have the sole purpose of converting the masses to fatalistic defeatism and apathy thus avoiding revolutionary desires.

People are born atheists, they are converted to simpletons.

At worst, religion is a force for unmitigated evil directed by a hierarchy of deep-dyed degenerates with no regard for life, human or otherwise....
