Spurs were never ever going to win that game, and Redknapp was right, there wasn't a single Spurs playing stood in that tunnel last night that thought they were going to win and progress.

Mentally weak as fuck

What did people expect?   Spurs to suddenly change and become a team with winning mentality?

Will never forget them sacking Mourinho before a cup final.....like that's your 1 chance of potentially winning a trophy and you sack a coach with so much cup history 😆

No excuse for it not to be there

Supposed reasoning -

Quote

Previously, VAR was employed in the third and fourth round of the competition, but only used at Premier League grounds. On one hand it made sense as top-flight stadiums already had the technology in place, but it created an imbalance as different matches within the same round of the competition ultimately had different rules.

Yet, it will be activate from fifth round onwards. The FA are so backwards. it's untrue.

This is what the FA say

Prior to the 2024/25 season, the FA Cup employed VAR in matches staged at Premier League home grounds, as well as the semi-finals and final at Wembley Stadium. Clubs outside of the top tier - even those with VAR capabilities that had dropped into the Championship - went without the technology in home matches.

However, to ensure fairness and consistency across the competition, VAR has now been scrapped for the fourth round and prior. Even Premier League stadiums did not employ the officiating system in the third round of this year's competition.

The decision was made to make sure that the same rules were applied for every team across the competition, addressing previous complaints about the sporadic use of VAR and how it created an imbalance between top division and lower league clubs.

Essentially to have equality in the early rounds because clubs in the lower divisions do not have the technology for it.

My take on it is that they should install it, its not as if the FA are short of fucking cash -fines, TV money fucking rolling in it

What happens when a small club from a lower league with no var in a stadium plays at home?
