ElNinoSemper 18
Yea, because a 27 year old investment, who of which needs a goal, is less important than a 33 year old playing well against relegation fodder. Exactly! Drogba was great today and Ancelotti was right to start him, but he won't be great forever. The sooner Torres gets off the mark, the better for him AND the team. No one will benefit more from his form than Chelsea FC. So yeah, it's kind of important. But it's easy not to care now I guess.
Madmax 9,219
This is not about Torres scoring, this is about Chelsea winning and getting points on the board to put Arsenal under pressure. Sort out your priorities ffs.
ZanSnake 1,211
This is evidence that the 4-3-3 is our most dominant formation for us, and that Carlo needs to work around the striker 'issue' he has!

Sort out your priorities ffs.3-1 up against relegation fodder (with plenty of time left), gave Carlo a perfect opportunity to give Torres a much needed goal.Like I said, a 27 year old investment getting a much needed goal, is more important than a 33 year old playing well against relegation fodder. Torres did NOTHING to deserve a game, with Drogba playing very well, Kalou playing well and Anelka playing well, You wanted to bring on a misfiring player?Carlo was proving a point. And what point was Carlo proving? That he's not handled the Torres situation well at all? I agree Drogba should have started based on form, but knowing what Torres is going through and the intense scrutiny on his goal drought, what's the point of bringing him on for 9 minutes? Can you imagine if Ancelotti keeps subbing Torres on for 10 or 15 minutes for the rest of the season? Okay, Torres is off-form, but that would be devastating to the man and his confidence. Do you want him to bring that into the next season? I guess if Carlo isn't going to be around, he won't care. If that's the case, it's s really crappy way to handle a player. Rooney's a dick and even Ferguson didn't yank his chain like this during his months and months of poor form.
True_Blue 469
TX what the fuck are you going on about?Drogba was better than Torres today.WBA is everything but a relegation battler,if you failed to notice they are 10th (that is almost top half) and in the Premiership only 3 teams go down, just so you know.Drogba was better than Torres even against United, and that is the team which will probably win the Premiership as things stand.Torres will get his chances,we don't have anything to lose now. They will be there or thereabouts at the end of the season.
