Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm the signing of Franco Di Santo.

The 18-year-old Argentinian forward joins Chelsea FC on a four and-a-half year contract from Chilean side Audax Italiano La Florida SADP.

Di Santo is an Argentina Under 20 international.

I'd expect him to get a few reserve games in alongside Ben and Scott, and a few games from the bench especially towards the end of the season.

Apparently he's 6 foot 4 1/2, and has scored 16 goals in 60 games for his old club, and represents Argentina at U20 level.

Apart from that, know nothing about him.

Yup that about sums him up, and the fact he is very highly regarded.

That is why it will be interesting to see how he is used. I would guess it will be a case of seeing how he does in training to see if spells with the reserves are needed. But if he makes the impact in training he will get his chance.

Is it normal that the youth/reserve's train with the first team?? I thought they had seprate training session's if so looks like his in the 1st team.

Some reserves do train with the first team regulary, especially when the first team is low on numbers. Although i would imagine that Di Santo is viewed as a full first team member, even if he does play a few reserve games.
