I learnt an important lesson today, foreigners (and even locals, as it was with me) may think the dozen or so lethal spiders/snakes we have in Australia are the scariest animals here, but I can now say the bull ant is the animal you do not want to annoy in this country. The pain is annoying and I can't do anything but apply the prescribed cream and wait for it to go away. Ugh. I also seem to be getting cramps.
