i have 3 reasons why sturridge should have gotten more playing time and starts before we sent him out on loan (btw i do think it was a great move to do this since he was never playing)

1) he scored against wolves

2) he scored against tottenham

3) he scored against everton

Seems like great reasons to me...could have used his goals the past 2 games

What's your point? I don't mean to sound rude here... but he scores against those three teams; who's to say he puts away one of Torres' chances against Fulham, or even gets a shot away in the Liverpool match? That's like saying we should not have sold Duff because 4 years later he scores a goal against Newcastle...

Why blame Drogba, Kalou or Anelka. Blame Carlo, he decides who starts and who doesn't. I wouldn't be shocked if he decides to leave Torres in the bench either. He has no trust in players, if he doesn't leave him as a sub he'll be changing him in the 60th minute every game he plays.

Sturridge also made assists in the game, and had a great assist in the evorton match what wasn't even offside. Sturridge has proved he is premier league fit. Honestly it's not like he gets lots of chances, actually in the bolton match he got like one chance and executed it, something our forwards havent been able to do recently. I love Sturridge and always have, he needs to get a push and he can do it, he's a reliable player. Fair enough he may not have this chance against Liverpool or Fullham, but damn say if he had Torres's position and he did position himself exactly like Torres, you could definitely agree on the fact that Sturridge could of executed those chances right in the back of the net.

my point is he should have had more opportunities...that was in my first sentence of my post.

but yea u never no if he would have scored those chances. u never no if anyone would have scored them. but like sloth said he put away the chances he got.

I was disappointed Sturridge wasn't getting any run in the league, but thank god for the loan deal. Carlo can ignore 5 goals in a reserve match, he can ignore goals against weak opposition in the Carling and FA cups, but he can't ignore his stint at Bolton. So once Sturridge is back, we know he's going to be a core part of the team, and if he still isn't then there really is no excuse left for Carlo, and Sturridge will be within his right to ask for a transfer.

So basically, this loan deal makes or breaks Sturridge's future with Chelsea, which is good for fans and for him, cause it just frustrates us and surely him at the lack of confidence his manager has in him.

This is all on the assumption that Carlo will be at Chelsea next season. A new manager could well fancy Sturridge.

Owen Coyle is a superb coach and he will, no doubt, do Sturridge's confidence a world of good. The fact he is playing football, though, is the best thing for his development.

He helped Wilshire a lot! Only problem be hanging back onto him when he comes back and making sure he's part of the plans etc cause be a huge loss if we let him go,seeing how he can do in 3 starts and all
