Time to reconsider our priorities

FA Cup win, and fight for either fourth or third position. To win the CL is kind of hopeful, but then again could be a possiblity if the lads get their heads from the ground and concentrate!

If we have to play Europa League next year then so be it! At least when we would win it we won SOMETHING in Europe and then have the oppertunity with the Super Cup.

The league is gone, get over it.

Of course we can hope that we will fluke the Champions League but that's not the way proper teams should be planning.

From now on our priorities should be:

1. 2nd or 3rd spot in the league, 2nd may be hard but 3rd is still very much reachable.
2. Winning the FA Cup and having yet another trophy-less year is the difference between us and Arsenal. We can still make history so we have to give it our best.
3. CL semi-finals. There we will get eliminated without losing our status in Europe.

The league's a write-off, best we can hope for is 3rd place. Atleast that'll guarantee CL qualification without having to go through a playoff. I was more optimistic before December because we were yet to play the direct title rivals and by winning against them we'd been in the thick of it but the dropped points at Spurs and Arsenal mean the postponed United game is useless. City/United will be long out of sight by the time March rolls around.

We'll do well to go past Copenhagen in the CL. The players don't want to turn up for games. They only start stringing two passes together once we're a couple of goals down in the 70th min. There's no pace in the play, no movement, no understanding. You'd think they're playing together for the first time in the their lives. Were we to come up against Barcelona we'd be hit for double figures, even with Cech on his best form. A quarterfinal appearance is what I hope for.

Only realistic hope of silverware this season is the FA Cup if the draws are favourable to us and some of the big boys knock each other out. This season is a replica of the 08-09 season.

If I were Carlo I'd focus on getting the 3rd spot and riding our luck to a QF/SF CL appearance and a long FA run.

3rd place is a reasonable target. Out of the CL spot will be disastrous. It will reduce our revenue and It will be extremely hard to attract world class player. We might end up with some overrated players with Inflated transfer fees and crazy wage demands.

And really we're what 4 points behind thirdd.Guess hope City beat Arsenal and we win Weds and volia we're on a climb.

And we finished 08/09 Season third okay we had change in Manager but season after we won the title

Id say aim for second/third in the league, fa cup final win and as far as possible in the champions league for this season, whilst the league is still possible it doesn't seem likely to happen due to needing results to go in our favour, that all said one positive from the last couple of months is that maybe the 'football board' has got a swift kick to the ballacks and can see what seemingly everybody else can, that we need an extra attacker of some description, for christs sake we were in for neymar most of the summer so it was obvious the club wanted another attacking option yet when we didnt get him we seemingly had no other targets so the club should rectify that in January.

They should learn to correct their flaws and Ashley Cole should start believing that his right leg is also allowed to kick the ball. Paulo Ferriera should only be used in training he is LAZY (excuse the caps needed for emphasis), he has been largely responsible for most of our travails.
