Kostas 1,468
Josh is going to play as a holding midfielder, that is what carlo has said. Josh will be wasted in that position in my opinion.Agreed. Essien can be used as a holding midfielder letting Josh play in Lampard's role.I'd love to see Kakuta used in a central offensive role but I'm afraid we'll shove him in the wing once more. Ollie 4,400
I just wanna see us put some chances away, and this is the perfect opposition for that for sure, i'm happy the youngsters look to be playing and the main guys can get a bit of a rest. I still think we'll batter this team regardless who goes out there. Kakuta needs to shine, he's looked really nervous this season when he's been on and i know he's got the makings of a world class player. Hopefully it's his day on Tuesday and he can build from it. He must look at his position and think he's got a great chance of being a first team regular with the likes of Anelka out there and Kalou. If he suddenly turns it on, there will be no going back for him and Kalou can fuck off.

He is able to do this."As well as McEachran other young players will be involved in the Zilina game. There's Kakuta, Van Aanholt, Bruma. I want to change things for this game."It is important. ack17 205
Josh can avoid tackling in the holding role, just like how wenger treats wilshere.I saw Josh defend really well against Spartak away
Shane 2,275
Don't see anything wrong with Josh in the holding role, He can get the ball and dicate the play. He can get forward aswell, But I think it will suit him, like the Pirlo role. Kakuta needs to take his man down the line and skin him.

DYC. 7,542
Good to see the youngsters finally getting a chance. No Borini though .Josh in the holding midfielder role... waste of talent if you ask me. You can already see this guy is a ''final ball specialist'', something attackers absolutely love and something we have been seriously lacking. Our players just pass the ball around with no imagination and lack that great vision. Josh already has that imagination and great vision yet the coach choses to use him in a defensive role (pray to God he's not thinking of molding him into a DM). Really don't understand the decision. Playing him in that role is probably decision for his qucker development. You know that when Josh plays advanced role he doesn't have that much ball at his feet. LDN Blue 7,903
I don't think he'll be given the holding role. Carlo said he'll include Bruma, Van Aanholt & Kakuta too, so I can see..CechBosingwa - Ivanovic - Bruma - Van AanholtMikelMcEachran - EssienKakuta - Drogba - Kalou

It's Chelsea vs MSK Zilina not Chelsea vs Arsenal or Barcelona (posession football teams). So expect total domination in terms of possesion. And i doubt playing simple short passes and dribbling with huge amount of space and very little pressure from opposition players is good for the devolopment of a attacking midfielder.
