LDN Blue 7,903
I think Malouda, Anelka and Essien should be rested. Maybe Cole too? Zhirkov, Kalou and Kakuta/McEachran (Josh in a more attacking role this time) being their replacements. That way they're totally fresh for the tricky away game at Ewood Park.CechBosingwa Ivanovic Terry Cole(PVA)Mikel Ramires(box-to-box role)Kakuta/McEachranKalou Drogba ZhirkovI don't think Carlo wants to let Josh start yet, he's taking the development very seriously and cautiously, perhaps if he came on at half-time after we establish a lead would be ideal. Cameron 30
Think there will be quite a few back for this one, and the next match isn't until Blackburn one week later.Line up is anyones guess, but:CechBosingwa--Alex/Terry/Bran--A.Cole/Zhirkov----------Mikel-------------Essien--Ramires/Zhirkov--------Anelka--Drogba--Malouda-----I would guess. Pick 2 out of the 3 CBs based on fitness.
BlueLion. 21,491
I'd agree with you there Cameron, just think Carlo won't start Bosingwa yet as I'm sure they will want to take it nice and slow with him after a year out.

NattyBlue 44
Yeah Borini playing would be nice, it would also mean we'd have a better chance of keeping him. Rumours say he's off to Parma permanently

I trust Carlo to make the right judgements and ifplayers can't trust him then they are the ones that would disappoint me. Borini has been scoring in the reserves very well, and i hope he does get the chance to shine. Give Kakuta a day off and give Borini a chance i say. Steve 10,227
I think Nico deserves a rest, it would be good to see Kalou get some game time now that he is fit again! Maybe bring Nico on at Half time if we are struggling, fresh legs are always good!
Cameron 30
Anelka had a rest in the international break and our next game isn't for another 7 days after this one... Edited October 21, 2010 by Cameron
Steve 10,227
Anelka had a rest in the international break and our next game isn't for another 7 days after this one...True but would still be nice to see Kalou have a run out. That said either way we should still pick up 3 points.

NattyBlue 44
Borini would have to play up top, good thing is that he would keep team shapeBut I think Nico did that excellently in the last game and kept pressure on the opposition defenders which hasn't been the case with him in recent times. EskWeston 696
that is a very reasonable point ..the only problem is Im not sure it would be fair to Borini to play him out wide ,,,but Esk would be able to commenton this better than meBorini "could" play out wide. But it most certainly would not be ideal as it is not natural to him, Just look at the recent Liverpool reserves game to see what he can do from a wide position, but to play him in the first team out wide i think would be very tough for him. Borini will get his chances, his problem is he has to contend with Drogba, Anelka, Sturridge and Kalou for that central striker role..... Kakuta and McEachran have less competition and as such have had more playing time. A quick note on Borini, personally i don't think last season was very good for him performance wise. This season he has really kicked up a gear and playing well, on the back of last nights reserve game it may well be time to bring him off from the bench in the second half of this game and see what he does. EskWeston 696
thanks Esk informative as ever ..My feeling was to have him on bench on Saturday and hopefully give him some playing timeEven though he scored 5 yesterday i wouldn't start him in a game yet. Wolves will be a tough test and with Arsenal and Man City faving off on Sunday we will definately need to win this one and to win it well too. I think that Drogba will be definately back, Bosingwa will be available for selection also. Not too sure on anyone else though
