SinineUltra 1,170
The only considerable long term effect I've noticed is a decrease in short term memory. My childhood friends (which still are my friends) are all still smoking while having a perfectly normal life, jobs, family, etc. None of us look like junkies.I'm trying to quit though, I've come up to a point where I just had enough. Have reduced it to 1 joint a day for now, which is great actually ^^Just putting it out here that I didn't mean to come across as derogatory. Genuine interest. As far as I know cannabinoid receptors are not in the brain like opioid ones and how does it lower sperm count? Would appreciate an answer, mate. THC may be causing improper timing of sperms by direct stimulation or it may be bypassing natural inhibition mechanism. So sperms swim too fast too early. Sperms burn out before they reach the egg, well, atleast most of them. Also sperms exposed to high levels of THC will have damaged acrosome. So, egg is not penetrated efficiently. Also reduced testosterone due to high levels of cannabinoids in the system.Nonetheless, reduced sperm count and marijuana is not exactly a clear cut picture. I'd be more worried of the effects on the lungs rather than on the balls.P.S. I'm not against its legalization. Share Posted December 13, 2013 Ah well done them, NOT, it is known to cause schizophrenia, lower sperm count, extreme hunger and well make you smell very bad Hey miss. I like you but that is very bad informed. I even did the yearly university opening debate on the subject. The only thing that has a slight correlation is psychoticism. This however has clearly no causal origin. Meta-analyses illustrate no increased psychosis in the weed blowing population. Meaning: people that go weird on weed would have done so anyway. This does not mean it is harmless btw. But the going crazy incidence is very, very minor. Sidzeret, Spike, Rmpr and 3 others

I really enjoyed all that food I ate last night. It's a mystery how habitual smokers are thin, though. The_Flash and Stingray
The_Flash 1,144
People are going on as if I made it up, there has been many studies and there is a real link between a lot of weed in young people leading to later signs of schizophreniahttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-126056/How-cannabis-trigger-schizophrenia.htmlI really don't want to get into a boring debate. I said let's just ignore each other's posts, I am tired of your nonsense always after my postsI dont care what you said, I will ignore you if I want to, not if you tell me! I even tried to ignore you, but the amount of factually wrong stuff you say is absurd, I cant contain myself. The funny part is that I dont even need to prove it because other members already showed how wrong your posts are...Above all, Uruguay legalized marijuana because the government wants to have more control over it and end up with the drug dealers and thugs who used to sell it. By doing so, they think they can sell it for less and prevent people from comitting crimes (which makes a lot of sense). It has nothing to do with it being bad or not. They never said they are legalizing marijuana because it doesnt cause harm. All they are trying to do is provide a 'safe' way for people to produce and consume it.Besides, there are a bunch of legal stuff that are a lot worse than marijuana anyway...So, once again your logic goes to waist. You should really try to learn about the things you say beforing posting. It is reaching a laughable state! It is reaching a laughable state! They have been thinking about doing the exact same thing in Copenhagen, in an effort to decrease the violence and crime in relations to drug sales. Also, a state controlled production would be much more safe and even generate tax revenue. A majority in the Copenhagen council actually voted in favor of a test period, to counter the gangs and their shady businesses. Great idea IMO Rmpr and Stingray

I really don't care. Each to their own, it's a personal choice.Let's move on Sigh ..... studies without a control group + done with people that also use other drugs which render the conclusions useless. Plus : the daily fail is no reference nor is Molecular Psychiatry. There is a reason why scientists go for cohort studies , randomised controlled trials, double blind studies and meta analyses. The few studies done longitudinal (and with a clear group ONLY doing weed) prove the opposite effect. The control group had even more psychological diseases long term than groups who only vaporised weed.So NO it is not each to their own here. This is not an opinion, this is about data.Rmpr is correct : you seem only interested in putting forth your opinion, really. Don't disqualify stuff cause it does not fit in your world view after first making strong statements about it.Also .... You should see my sperm count. It is awesomely humongous !!! The eating is true indeed!
