If we were to use that I'd prefer seeing someone like Benayoun instead of Anelka,seeing him slowing down on the wing last season was infuriating.

Mikel still has a lot to learn, it's not his season yet...

I guess you are right.

But i think that Ramires has the same things to learn... Ramires has spent just one season in Europe and it's in Portuguese league...

That's why i guess Mikel gonna be a titular at the season begining, at least, until that Ramires get experience (I'm talking about EPL and Champions' experience).

Benfica have confirmed they are in talks to sell Brazil international midfielder Ramires to Chelsea.

The 23-year-old joined the Portuguese club last year and was an integral part of their championship-winning team.

The Eagles said in a statement to the Lisbon stock exchange that the two clubs are working on a deal, but provided no further details.

The estimated deal for the Samba star could be in the region of around £17million, although neither club have mentioned the finances involved.

Ramires played in four games for Brazil at the World Cup in South Africa and has made 15 international appearances, scoring two goals.

He would be the club's second major signing this summer following the acquisition of Liverpool's Yossi Benayoun to replace the departed Joe Cole.

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Benfica for midfielder Ramires, according to Sky Sports News sources.

The premier league champions have been strongly linked with a move for the dynamic utility man with some suggesting he had already completed a medical. But sources at Sky Sports have now claimed a fee has been agreed between the two clubs in the region of £17-£18m.

The formalities of the transfer should be concluded in the coming days.
