Jose Mourinho: Chelsea fans don't compare to Inter Milan's - but I still don't love Italian football

Jose Mourinho still doesn't love Italian football - but the 'Special One' admits his passion for Inter Milan's supporters is greater than it ever was for Chelsea.

The Portuguese has been tipped to return to England next season after falling out with press and football authorities in Serie A, but the Champions League defeat of Barcelona was greeted by a show of emotion from a man who looked far from bored in his present job.

Mourinho jumped up and down and ran out to the middle of the pitch to celebrate when Inter advanced to next month's final despite a 1-0 loss at the Nou Camp on Wednesday.

The self-appointed 47-year-old then pointed his finger up at Inter's fans in the stands at the top of the giant stadium.

'I thought I had reached the height of emotion with Chelsea's fans, but Inter's supporters are even better,' Mourinho said. 'I'm in love with Inter and these fans, not Italian football - I respect it, but I don't love it.'

Mourinho, who said qualifying Inter for the Champions League final was the greatest moment of his career, has been at odds with the local media and opposing coaches since arriving at the Milan club two years ago.

To avoid suspensions, he no longer addresses the media except before and after European matches - in accordance with UEFA requirements.

he's moved on he did his job here and fair play to him he's doing a great job at inter.

he didn't do is job here, he started it but roman wouldn't let him finish it.

why do you think he's always mentioning his age in press conferences (the same press conference he mentions receiving text messages from Chelsea players)and the lightyears of managment he has in front of him.

He could of achieved so much more that's true. But he's moved on and doing a fantastic job.

If he comes back one day to carry on then fantastic, but no point dwelling on what might of been.

Mourinho is gone. I respect him for what he has done for Chelsea, but we should be supporting Ancelotti now and not think back at Mourinho times. Besides, Ancelotti also will come pretty close of the greatest manager of all time for Chelsea if he does the double.

When were these comments made? If it was just after the Barca game then his adrenaline and emotions would be sky high. If it was any other time then its a bit of a cheap shot really. We have done nothing but love the man.

Why is it that this is it that we have to dwell on the fact that Mourinho was our manager?

This is something we need to get over, he is gone, and is doing well at another club, we have to move on also. Aneclotti could be the best manager in our history, or he couldn't. Di Matteo could become the greatest Chelsea manager, or even little Timmy who lives down the road could be the greatest manager of Chelsea all time, how can we say he is the greatest of all time if we can't step forward and let other people do the job?

Mourinho isn't bound to one club for the rest of his career, he can come and go when he wants, so why tie a noose around his neck and not let him free. I say congrats Jose on the success in Inter, but i look forward to the Aneclotti era not looking back at the Mourinho past.

Our fans are inferior to most top club fan bases its just a fact. The real Chelsea fans of years ago are priced out now, not many go and many have stopped buying season tickets because of the price of them. Our support in the 90s was fantastic, and to be fair we have a good away support. A lot of the fans at stamford bridge are middle to upper class people THEY JUST DON'T MAKE AN ATMOSPHERE AT ALL !
