millzy_chelsea_fan 4
at some point in the united game, the commentator said ancelotti wanted to bring in young players into the first team. i was then thinking of who is most likely to come in if this is true and i thought stoch as the a proper first team player i also think players like borini, bruma, kakuta and aanholt will get more game time. who do you reckon will be the first players to get promoted to the first team?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9oHgX97KmfM&hd=1 Edited April 6, 2010 by millzy_chelsea_fan
ZanSnake 1,211
Stoch and Bruma have to be the first player that come into mind. Hutchinson a possiblity?
Rubber bullets 1,183
I can defiantly see Matic and Bruma/Van Aanholt in the squad next season, especially as we can't rely on Essien on midfield and only Terry/Alex/Ivanovic/Bosingwa as the only CB/FB. 5354 204
Matic and Stoch... (:
boshman 1,073
Matic, Kakuta, Bruma, Stoch, Cork and Hutchinson would all be first team players next year if it were up to me. Obviously they will not be key members of the squad but they should definately get a heavier role in the team than they have done this year. kakuta44 16
great to finally know that these players are up in carlo's head i think stoch will be very influental as an impact sub next year and in the carling cup bruma also has agreat prospect but when you have terry alex carvahlo and ivanovic .... it's pretty hard to get a lot of chances ....matic that guy needs the chance and i am sure he will prove himself as a very good player kakuta ...... man that boy has got pure talent and skill you can expect anything from him .... if he was guided in the right way and i hope he will...... definetly will be a world classs player within a couple of years ...van aonholt i like very much what i have seen from him so far sam hutchinson i really didn't see him playing a lot but in a couple of matches i have seen he looked really mature ...cork unfortunately have the least chances to grab i like what he does with burnley but with mikel lampard deco ballack essien matic and we are still looking for a quality midfielder to buy i don't see him having a lot of chances next season ....... and i think matic will have better chances when it comes to that place .... eskweston :correct me if i am wrong
Cameron 30
We can credit him this season to the extent that he's given debuts to five youngsters I think it is. But he's failed to develop them into the first team any more than that, and he's particularly been quite harsh to Matic and Sturridge in terms of starting opportunities. Hope he gives them a better chance to develop themselves in the first team next season, otherwise similarly to what Borini and Kakuta have done this season, other youngsters progress will suddenly make a huge stop. Badboy 1,526
"Kakuta is the future of Chelsea" that's what carlo said and thats my opinion too he will get the most playing time next season with stoch.
Luke 60
Kakuta will get more games next season IMO.
EskWeston 696
It is clear that Carlo DOES want to bring the youngsters through, and who could blame him as we have a top bunch. I think we will see more from the same batch as this year: Bruma, Kakuta, Borini, Van Aanholt, Hutchinson, Matic... also ones out on loan will probably get their chance especially Stoch and Cork and probably Mancienne as well. That is a lot of players there but they are all very talented. For me i think Kakuta and Stoch can offer a lot to the first team now and i hope they have plenty of involvement next season
magic weeds 446
For me, I think Matic should have more games. the boy is good. can replace some tired legs in the midfield.
BlueLion. 21,491
Only ones I can see making the grade so soon are Bruma, Cork, Stoch, Borini and Kakuta. The rest will get their chance, just not yet - I think these five have pure potential and are very exciting prospects we want to stay at the club. Other players, I feel, could do with a little more experience. For example, I think we should loan Bertrand to a lower Premier League team where he is likely to get a few games before he can make the final step up to the first team. We've got a lot of quality, but being realistic, those five are the only players I can see next season being included in the squad, plus di Santo, Mancienne and Sturridge of course. I don't think Carlo would think about trying to bring too many through at once.

OReillyD36 311
Borini's 20 now, I'd want him to get a loan move somewhere for next season. Needs some first team football.Borini's only 19, he is 22 days younger than me . But i agree he should be loaned out, he needs a good run of games to boost his confidence and develop further as a player. It's safe to say he won't get it at Chelsea, he just needs a good loan behind him and he will bang in the goals.
warnie_666 1,081
I can definately see the following players making the cut next season.Matic as a deep lying playmaker....Kakuta in place of DecoStoch on the wings...Bruma in place of Carvalho. The ones that may or may not make the cut next season are the following..Mancienne...has a good chance to replace Belleti. So does Jack Cork......But I doubt he will get into our list of squad.Hutchinson....Has a chance only if he can keep himself FITBorini....Currently is behind Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and Sturridge. He had his chances this season and his finishing needed improvement.
BlueLion. 21,491
Borini's 'chances' have limited him to less than 200 minutes of football. You can barely judge him on that.Is everyone forgetting Sinclair as well? Reckon he'll be sold.

Stoch may get the odd game on the wing... that's about it. The others might get a few games in the FA Cup or Carling Cup.
