northernblue 2
It's perfect news, he will miss United's run in but be fit for the World Cup, that suits me down to the ground!!
BlueLion. 21,491
If United now go and win the title without him, they deserve it IMO. They've been called a one-man team for ages, time for them to step up.
Shane 2,275
We had to do without Drogba for a month, United have to do without Rooney for a month.
BlueLion. 21,491
My point is that they're a lot more reliant on their star player than we are. True we had the odd tough game without Drogba, such as Burnley away, but we've got plenty of quality at the end of the day to get us the points, ie. Lampard, Anelka, Malouda. Besides Own Goal and when Berbatov decides to play, I don't see any real danger men for United, besides Rooney.

BlueLion. 21,491
Would he have made such a difference on Saturday? I think the way we bossed the midfield battle, no.

Joe Cool 388
Wish they could have made it through and then lost. Another two weeks of Champions League fatigue wouldn't hurt.

.Cee 50
Fergie is Scottish, and you know what Scotland always do when the England football team is playing.Rooney can still refused to play as I'm sure he knows what is being risked and he chose to play.
