Carefree Tom 7
Just what Van Aanholt needs, a loan to a lower premier league club to gain vital match experience. He'll do well at Wigan I think. But when he does come back to Chelsea, and thinking about the future, will he be sticking round a long time with Bertrand on our books?. Surely Bertrand has higher potential and is a better prospect to replace Ashley when he hangs up his boots. I can't see Van Aanholt hacking it in the long run to be honest
Amblève. 4,995
I'd pick van Aanholt over Bertrand tbh. Think he has more potential to be our future left back
Kojo 4,676
Can anyone tell me if he's been any good at Wigan?, i saw the last match for Wigan, highlights only, he didn't mark Darren Bent very well and allowed him to score, not a nice thing to see, but the other centre back was at fault also. The idea is for him to learn from them away from Chelsea, he is doing very good for himself, if he continues to get played through the season he will be miles better off for it. TacticalBlues 2,817
Earlier today he tweeted that he was 'sooo pissed off' at being left out. He's Still sticking behind the Latics but by the sounds of it he is not injured. Frustrating because I personally rate him very high, just a little more so than Bertrand but they both have fantastic potential.

PvA not playing, Kakuta not playing, Delač is a reserve goalkeeper in Czech Republic...Really ??????For fuck sake, this kid was supposed to be the next Cech. If even in this league he can't get game, that means either or scout have fucked, or our board are shit when it comes to loan player. Madmax 9,219
Would be unfair to term all loans this season as poor business. Courtois, Bruma and Kalas for example are getting a lot of game time and progressing well whereas Kakuta and Patch obviously less so. A bit hit and miss, but that's how these things turn out anyway. Kakuta will be back in Jan and Patch should be too. One thing that concerns me is that whenever we've loaned players domestically, it's never quite worked out, Sturridge being the glaring exception. A point to keep in mind while deciding about Josh in a month's time.
