Milan 17,956
dailymail.co.ukDaniel Sturridge insists he is ready to fill the boots of Chelsea hitmen Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka. Drogba will face Birmingham on Boxing Day before departing for the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast team-mate Salomon Kalou. Chelsea's problems mounted when Anelka was ruled out for the next two games with a hamstring injury, leaving boss Carlo Ancelotti with just rookies Sturridge and Fabio Borini to face Fulham on December 28.But Sturridge, who has struggled with form and fitness since joining from Manchester City in the summer, believes he can still keep Chelsea on course to win the Barclays Premier Legaue crown. 'I have been doing extra running after training and extra sessions with the fitness coach,' he said. 'The best is still to come and I only showed glimpses of what I can do on Sunday. Hopefully, I will be able to show the fans and the manager what I can do now. 'I have learnt so much since I came here and it has benefited me. Some of our players are going away but I hope to fill the gap for the team and put in some performances.'Can't wait to see him again. Against Hammers he put in quite a decent performance. Hopefully he will gain some experience and mainly confidence.
Badboy 1,526
I like the way he can side step challenges and his pace too. From what i have seen of him he is better than kalou and i would rather borini started ahead of kalou too.

Ollie 4,400
It's your time Danny boy. He looked good when he came on against west ham, he looks confident of his own ability and i would love to see him and Borini up top together. Borini looked good against pompey when he came on, ok missed an open goal but looked confident. The goals will come for these two, no doubt. They just need to play! Ollie 4,400
Sturridge looks lively, he gets in positions, he's confident. Yeah he missed a sitter, we all jumped up in celebration til we realised the ball was behind the bloody goal. His earlier effort was excellent but brilliantly saved by the best English goalkeeper around. He will score goals, no doubt, he just needs that first one. If he scors early against fulham, he'll get bloody 3.
