If Watford go up then I think it might just be too easy to just let him stay there next season, whereas if they miss out I don't think there's a chance that he'll spend another season in the Championship.Whatever happens I think he's certain to be playing Premier League football next season, and I'd prefer that to be with us. Obviously he is talented and he will make it here (imo), but we do no favours to these young players with the hype we generate around them.
