🇳🇱 Jeffrey Bruma

Just not good enough for us. Just my honest opinion. Every time I watch him, he looks like he has a mistake in him. Even more error-prone than David Luiz, but the issue is he doesn't have Luiz' tenacity to try and regain the ball. He will simply rot if he comes back here.

Hasn't he signed a new deal though? Seems he is intent to stay there.

Son, you mean? He's been excellent for Hamburg this season and has attracted interest from many clubs. I would be really surprised if they manage to keep him. And with Hamburg expressing their desire to sign Bruma, I think it's safe we have a better chance to sign him than other clubs.

It seems he's coming back to Chelsea. Arnesen all but confirmed it. I think Kalas/Omeruo are better if we are keeping a defender around as backup but I won't mind Bruma. After all he'll be 5th choice CB

Didn't we also "confirm" that Omeru will be returning as well? Doubt that both will return and Hamburg did say they wanted him on a permanent deal.

The source (Sky Sports) had quotes saying Hamburg will not bid for him and imo, SkySports is the most reliable source of transfer news now. They don't post silly stuff and wait for quotes and clear-cut confirmations. Also, weaintgotnohistory picked up on that and they're pretty sensible tooo

Hmm, well the quotes I'm referring to are a few months old, so they could have changed their mind, because you're right, Sky are the most reliable now. Anyway, I'd be happy to see Jeffrey get his chance here.

Yeah but I would keep Kalas, Omeruo > Bruma

I think Kalas will make it here regardless, he's that good, imo. As for Omeru, he's still much younger and will get a chance later if he does not now. So I won't be upset to see Bruma given a chance next season although I honestly don't expect him to stay here for long.

Contract runs out at end of next season. We should keep him as 5th choice if we can't get atleast 5mil as transfer fee. Defence lacks bit of depth with Ivanovic covering 2 positions

We could use him as our very own John O Shea next season, can cover across the back and in midfield.

Despite his early promise i can never see him making it as a first team regular here now, its frustrating i think he has the talent but he is far too nervous and error phrone, he strikes me as someone with little self confidence in his ability.

The agent of Chelsea youngster Jeffrey Bruma has confirmed he has opened talks with PSV Eindhoven over a possible move to the Philips Stadium.

Don't think it really comes to anyone's surprise?
