chrismada9 1,948 Posted September 15, 2009 Share Posted September 15, 2009 I didn't like that first half, I thought it was very shoddy!!Essien looks completely outnumbered in midfield; although he has won the ball well at times, Lampard has won nothing, just gives it away half the time, and Anelka is just not getting in the right areas, Porto are defending very well I have to say.One player who's stood out for me is Ivanovic. His crosses have been very crucial from the right, and he's won the ball very well. Overall, we just need to fucking wake up and attack!! We need him AND Kalou AND Ballack in the box for the crosses from the right. Anelka should do his job as the forward and try to go in dangerous areas to score goals. Essien needs help. Cole should come on for Kalou, he has had an average game, but Joe will bring the more depth to the right and the right amount of power and skill we need.
