GCSE results

So is anyone here going to their school and collect their GCSE results on Thursday. I am and I can feel a bit of pressure coming from my parents. Even thought they say it's not the end of the world, they still keep saying things like how are you celebrating if you get good results.

I got my results 2 weeks ago..i was so nervous. I cant get over how young ya finish school in england like im nearly 19 and just finshed school this year!

I am getting mine on Thursday, and am hoping to get the right amount to stay on for sixth form. I really am kind of 50/50 all of it, but i am hoping good results. Even if i didn;t get the standard amount, i'll go to college and do A Level their. But iw ould rather do it at school.

I Remember the day i got mine when i was 16 lol.. I'm 21 now.. christ it seems ages ago!

I think you's are worrying too much, GCSE's don't count for everything. I wasn't too worried when i was getting mine, but then again i got the results i needed.

Such as same that as soon as we get our results, there will be news reports about the exams being dumbed down and the usual Daily Mail readers complaining that all teenagers are hooligans.

when I got mine I fucked all of them... still... Ended up doing Media at college, at Uni now studying television and a commentator for Wycombe wanderers... not the end of the world if you don't get the results you wanted :thumbsup:

God was shitting myself when getting mine.Our school did some stupid system where they predicted the results you were getting based on the CAT scores you got so seeing my cat scores were abso crap and was predicted all C and Ds was very ahhh.And then haha when got the result only one really they got wrong was French got a E not a D lol the rest either the same or higher.Didnt fill ya with confidence though

I did really well but I feel terrible because a lot of my friends didn't get into sixth form and I feel bad for them Don't particularly feel like celebrating when I should because I'm really proud of the results I got

Science - C C (Double)

Business Studies - B B (Double)

Religious Studies - C

Maths - D

Electronics - F (Everyone failed to get higher the C in class, it was really crappy class. More like a doss about then an actual educational class. Wanted to change to Resistant Materials, but to be fair, i am crap at Tech ever since i came to high school)

So i have got more then the amount i need to stay on. Annoyed as a got an A in acting, B in making plays but a C for Coursework in Drama, that made it from a A and a B to B and a B.

Don't know about your guy's schools, but they did this point thing, 300 to go on, and i had about 356-360. :eyebrows:Bring on Sixth Form!!

Don't know what to choose at the moment though (Business, English, Drama, ???). Wasn't really hyped by the results, Mum was like but hay, to become an actor/screen-writer you have to get the good grades to get noticed.
