haven`t been on TC for a few months. but just like to say..i naturally enjoyed the test series in India.there`s been better series..but never easy to win on their own dust tracks for any visiting team. maybe that will change in the future as more foreign players spend some time playing in India.i certainly believe it helped touring nations to England in the past when so many would spend summers playing for English & Welsh county sides

also am pleased to see us stacking the depth now in the top 6 of the batting order. with Root and Bairstow waiting in the wings and being blooded gradually but looking like they have the "it factor" for test cricket..it`ll help sustain our current golden period with them being so young. Compton older and although hasn`t got a big score yet,has made lots of decent starts.just needs to get a test hundred under his belt.

hope they use the upcoming test series in NZ to blood those youngsters some more, KP is due to be "rested" for it. Cook,Compton,Trott,Bell,Root,Bairstow,Prior,Swann,Harris,Anderson,Finn,Bresnan being the 12 going into the opening day morning then deciding whether to go with 4 or 5 bowlers..Prior is more than adequate to bat at 6..should be strong enough to win the series..tho NZ should not be taken lightly,if England don`t perform they can beat us.

ha ha actually most of the matches held in kochi had over 50k . its one of indias biggest stadium. its a multipurpose one and the first match was india vs iraq football match in 1998. my mom is a football lover and we two went to see it when i was 8years old.around 110k people attended the match which was over capacity and fifa reported to AIF. people even sat on the floodlight posts

Just thought I would mention Amla has just surpassed Clark to take the number 1 test batting ranking. Also South Africa just hammered Pakistan in the first test. Steyn was on fire and picked 11 wickets for 60 runs, while De Villiers also matched Jack Russels dismissal record with 11 catches behind the stumps.

We have number one test batsmen, also number one test bowler and number one test all rounder.

Australia hammered in the first 2 tests. This team is not even a patch on the previous Australian test teams. How the mighty have fallen. I don't see them coming back in the series now. 2-0 up and the next test match is in my city. Will be cheering for the series win.
MS Dhoni now has most wins for an Indian captain.Australia become the first team to lose by an innings after declaring their first innings closed.

They were talking on Test Match Sofa about how India's transition period's been kinder than Australia's since several key players have left altogether for them. Still we WON! Remember the England series? After the first test no one thought they would come back.......u never know. Personally I think we have whitewash them. Revenge for last January!

Well, England came with a definite gameplan and it worked for them. Australia seems to be playing without one right now!! It takes no Einstien to see that every team needs two spinners when you are playing in the sub continent. But then again they don't have any quality spinner. England on the other hand had 2 which made them so good here. Mohali as always will provide a pitch with pace and bounce and will hold together for almost 5 days, so Australia might fancy a chance there. Australia look disjointed to me though!!

Coming to us, i hope it's the end of road for Viru. We need to look beyond him now!! Hopefully Gambhir will make a comeback or Dhawan/Rahane might get their chances. Bhajji is finished as well. Ojha in the next match hopefully.

Fuck the Sunderland - Norwich game, since the Pen i've been watching Shahid Afridi blaze South Africa all over the place. Incredible stuff here. McClaren bowled him but was a no ball, then he bowled a wide on the free hit and then on the 2nd attempt he's put it on the Golf course lmao. 80 from 45 balls, need 108 from 90 balls chasing a huge target. Awesome entertainment. Cricket at its best.

Wasn't Michael Clarke the best batsman in the world? Well, he is Ravindra Jadeja's bunny as of now!!
Australia absolutely thumped in the series. They can't even save a 4 day test match!! :D

Clarke is just having a bad series.

India are getting alot of praise..but to be honest, Australia's batting lineup has been very poor since 2011.

The likes of Clarke & Hussey helped hide the cracks...they were thrashed by South Africa in Australia...and now they got thrashed again in India..

Yup, the gulf in quality of the former Australian players and this team is massive. Sacking of Watson, Pattinson just added to that depth. Clarke seems to have a lot on his shoulder and it has started to show now!!

India is getting all the praise because of the youth in the team. We were totally outclassed by England and we had to look beyond. Fortunately the team is now moving towards promising times with new players waiting in the wing.
