Made it further than India LOL

surprising actually. in a spinner friendly environment.

btw how is it fair that all the 4 teams who topped the group ended up in the same group in the Super 8's? ICC needs to rethink the WC format. I know keeping A1 B1 etc beforehand will help in ticket sales but its not fair to the tournament.

You used that word in the wrong way. Do you even know what it means?

My bad; I didn't read before posting.

You didn't reply to the crux of the matter though, you often don't when someone takes you up on one of your statements. How is Harbhajan racist? How is India as a country racist? I take grave offence to that.

West Indies finally win a world cup even if it's T20. Whole team doing the Gangnam style. Epic. They look so happy. All of the.

I hope a young boys is watching it back in the carribean and we have another Brian Lara or Ambrose, Walsh. 3 cheers for Windies.

Mate, nobody is denying the fact that Australia HAD the best squad and were dominating in cricket in late 90s and most of 00s. But you need to realize the fact that a current Australian team in nowhere close to being world class. Don't let the result of T20 affect your decision making. It's T20. You get the point.

Cast your mind to early 90s. or even mid 90s. West Indies fan would behave just like you are right now, and they had world beaters from Stuart Campbell, Brian Lara, Jimmy Adams to Walsh, Ambrose, Bishop, Hooper. Look where they are right now!! Every team goes through highs and lows. This is just a low for Australia after a very long time. You have to accept that and wait for the glory days to return and then start bragging. Let me assure there is no point in hanging on to the past.

Also no team would dominate a game like Australia did and West Indies did in mid 70s and 80s. These team comes in a decade. You were fortunate that Australia HAD that team. Even Australia won't be able to produce a team like they had again.

Australia had an even better team in 1948 ,,,so how can you say they will never dominate again....your post is full of contradictions

1. I haven't seen any video of 1948 era. Just a few clips on youtube but that doesn't tell you the whole story. I have read about the bradman era and his team but i won't comment on it because i haven't seen them play. They may be great but when cricket is played b/w 2 nations and in same 2 or 3 grounds forever, i wont say they had a better team. Cricket was more competitive after the emergence of West Indies and then India, Pakistan, then to South africa and so on. . Not taking anything away from players in 1948 era but that was a completely different time. You can relate today's cricket with the 80s but you can nver realate today's cricket with the 40s and 50s.

2. I don't mean Australian team will never ever dominate again. I never meant it as if Australian cricket is dead and buried.I want them to be among the elite always, that's what make the sport interesting. But right now, the team is not a patch on what they had and i don't see any upcoming world class talent coming through. They never had a spinner except Warne, Clarke doesn't make a very good captain IMO, they haven't replace Gilchrist yet, there are no openers(Warner is not a test opener with all due respect to the guy). So my point was it will take time for them to be dominating again, and i don't see any reason that suggest otherwise.

I would have minutely believed your statement, if India was a small country(in terms of area) like Indonesia, Sri lanka, and many other European countries but it is not and let me tell you something you allready know, India is 7th largest country in the world. So have you been to South India , North India, West India, East India and Central India before you go on saying the whole country is racist?? Considering you are 18, you must have been a born traveler to have been to every corner of this country so quick.

Racism is not a cultural thing, it individualistic thing. No community is racist, certain people in EVERY community are. So, may be the people you were hanging out with were racist, you made the wrong choice, don't put it on the country if you don't have an iota of knowledge about it. It makes you sound immature.

I am satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that Harbhajan Singh directed the word monkey at Andrew Symonds and also that he meant it to offend on the basis of Symonds' race or ethnic origin. Harbhajan has had a history of making racist remarks towards opposition players, particularly Australian and English cricketers. - ICC match referee Mike Procter.

This.

During the Second Test, 2007-08 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, Procter banned Harbhajan Singh for three matches on charges of racism. This decision was later overturned by Justice Hansen who found Andrew Symonds had instigated the confrontation and there was no credible witness (including Symonds himself) who could testify Harbhajan had used the word "monkey". Justice Hansen also questioned Clarke's credibility as a witness (refer to icc_commissioner_decision_30012008.pdf). Procter was widely criticized for failing to account for these facts in his original decision and some (most prominently Sunil Gavaskar) questioned whether his sympathies lay with the Australian team due to his race.

Former ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed claimed in his memoirs that Justice John Hansen had accused Indian and Australian cricket boards of colluding behind the scenes since 2007 in a way that was detrimental towards the future of cricket.

According to extracts of the memoir reported by SMH, The Telegraph & The Australian, Justice Hansen wrote in this letter: Both boards were having discussions behind the scenes to resolve matters.

Justice Hansen said that both boards had a common representative present him with an agreed statement of facts signed by Harbhajan, Kumble, Tendulkar, Dravid, Symonds, Clarke, Ponting and Hayden.

A payment package was also included as part of the deal they expected me to approve. The deal would have resolved the matter outside of court.

That's no justification whatsoever to judge racism. Can a white person not judge racism as you can?

In relation to their own race, yes, they can make their own personal judgement and opinion.

There was a wave of attack against indian students in australia few years back. Pretty sure that was racially motivated. But I wont be daft enough to tag the entire Australian country as racist.
