I was talking about the T20 WC. But even other wise the pool of Talent in India > the rest of the World. Your Homie Ian Chappell agrees.

India are the envy of the other major nations. Their best young batsmen - in Townsville and at home - are technically better than most of their counterparts from the other Test-playing nations. All that Indian players need is regular exposure to bouncy surfaces against strong opposition and the national team's recent travails in England and Australia will soon be a thing of the past.

Australia, on the other hand, seem to be going through a period of producing solid but unspectacular batsmanship. It's unclear at the top level where the next Ponting or Michael Clarke will come from, and that picture becomes no clearer after watching their U-19s play.

India will always have 'more' talent due to the population. However I say we have better quality talent. In that we only have a population of 22 or so million. Furthermore Cricket utterly dominates India. It is their main sport to the point its almost like a religion. So you have almost a 1 billion people to choose from. In Australia we have so many sports competiting against each other which means far less people take up Cricket. Imagine if we had your population. We'd probably be unbeaten for 50 years now

The point is talent in india > rest of the world. No ifs and buts. I was merely talking about the current Aussie team in T20 but since you decided to go off topic and compare pool of talent in both countries, I thought I d show you what your own country men have to say about the Talent.

No. India is actually an average side. Dhoni barely does anything. Living on past glories. The rest of your team is 'Meh'. We've got good depth in our fast bowling department. Our batting is not world class (Apart from Watson and maybe the Hussey Brothers) but its getting better and better. There is plenty of young up and coming Batsmen though. We have always had brilliant domestic talent.

india is a joke. we only win on flat tracks where dravid or sachin would bat through the day and the spinners would spin the opposition out. bit better overseas last decade but last years tour of england and australia were an absolute joke

I liked the old India with Sachin, Dravid, Laxman. Legends and Gentlemen. But now... I don't know what it is about you current team but I don't like players like Kohli. They act like Bollywood stars rather than Cricket players.

yep. the days of the ffabulous 4 was when we could cover up our shoddy bowling but now sadly it isn't happening...atleast in test. kohli on the field is a good player though. not sure if he's dravid/ sachin level or laxman / yuvraj level

Great game, Pakistan won by a hansom margin and the Aussies are through. Both teams look happy at the end. India need around a 4 over margin victory or a 30 run victory.

Also, mark my words Raza Hassan will be the best spinner in the world one day. How do Pakistan keep finding these magnificent young talents?

He is a new bowler. Let him play a series with India or Sri Lanka. Once he is read by every team around, he will turn into another Ajantha Mendis. Good enough for T20 cricket but never making the cut for Test Cricket.

He's no Mendis, he turned the ball both ways today putting the ball in the perfect areas to the inform Aussie batsmen. He can only get better.

Underachievement again. Fuck off Dhoni with your negative fields.

I was surprised at that, he's normally so positive.

I am not saying, he cannot be! But what i have seen of him, he was afraid to give a flight o the ball. Bowling quite flat and wicket to wicket , turning an odd ball as well. But i certainly didn't see a Test Match Bowler. Then again,he is young. If given proper schooling, he may well become a very good bowler.

After all those years Gandhi spent in SA, surely they could have done us a favor on Gandhi Jayanti!

had it coming. the big defeat against the aussies was the difference. absolute nightmare for the team that day and duly our net run-rate suffered. atleast we won the WC last year...the one that matters

I though India played well. Thrashed us, thrashed Pakistan, beat South Africa.... it seems a bit harsh they aren't through tbh. In a T20 tournament though, anything can happen so it's not really anything to get despondent about. Any team can win on their day. The 50 over real world cup is what it's all about. This is just a bit of fun.
