It wasnt the greatest game to watch, but on the otherhand we showed so much heart and discipline and they ended up resorting to long shots. We frustrated them. Cech played a blinder. Its far from over but we done what we set out to do and we have a good chance next week. The crowd need to get right behind the lads.

Good good, There third choice defender against Drogba, I'd play Anelka and Malouda on the wings with Essien, Lampard and Ballack in the midfield.

Boss did really good against Messi.

We really frustrated them and showed they are non that great - they don´t have a plan B breaking deadlocks (reminds of us in the Scolari days).

With Ashley being back at the Bridge we have the best left back defender against one of the most overrated wingers

Fantastic result, we are in a very solid position now having to just make sure we win our home game. However i was not too thrilled with the performance. It was an incredibly risky game inviting so much pressure onto ourselves, especially against the attacking force of Barcelona. We had absolutely not intention of attacking them and i feel we showed them too much respect, even the couple of times we did manage to get forward their frailties at the back were obvious but we did not exploit it.

Don't get me wrong i am chuffed to bits about the result, and Barca can whinge and moan all they like about negative football because football is all about the result. However i think we were just too negative and should have shown a little bit more ambition whilst still being strong at the back.
