The second biggest concern after injuries at this tournament is the level of the referees. Are there any european refs? At least for the knockout stage?

Why? How many times we heard here PL refs are the worst in the world and also in Conference League final everyone complained again.

I liked what I saw with Delap, he did the simple things and things that should come natural to a top striker. His checked runs, his runs in the channels, he was pointing into areas where he wanted it and got his rewards with the assist that came from all of the above. Jacskon is going to have a problem with Delap, two completely different players and styles but Delap is an all rounder for me, still raw and not polished by any means but he has more to his locker than Jackson and I think as we build towards the season start he will give Maresca a big problem in terms of selection.

Jackson is an average middle of the road striker that will do a decent job but he shouldn't be leading the line for us, and I hope Delap pushes his nose out and pushes him out the equation.

Also, the ball from Delap was an absolute delight by the way...the way he fanned his foot round it to get it out of his feet but get the height and delivery was absolute top class, a striker delivering a ball like that, that he would love to be on the end of.

Neto was the clear man of the match but Flamengo will be a tougher game for us on Friday.

I agree just about...

But on the other side of the coin we have Palmer, Madueke, and Jackson who were awful.

I though Cool was over his or getting over his loss of form not a bit of it, he's terrible.

But is Palmer getting judged on his lack of goals and what hes done before  ? We're all going to see things slightly differently, but imagine had that been his debut, I think people would be saying what a great player. In terms of goals and offensive stuff I notice Maresca has told him to use his imagination, creativity - not sure if that would work or he needs a more designated role ?

The thing with Palmer is, when he doesn't have a good game he still way ahead of those such as Madueke when he doesn't have a good game. Palmer has little bits in games where he does something really influential, not special but something that will affect the game this maybe a pass, a cross, a run to take away a defender or just something crazy.

I'm more worried about the likes of Madueke, Gusto, Jackson, Sanchez and Nkunku
