Chelsea vs Tottenham

Pawson is the ref - disallowed our winner v Villa 🤡

Also stats show refs have 'Short man Syndrome'  they give more yellow and red cards to players that are taller

Any players taller than Pawson had better watch out

Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca says Cole Palmer, Nicolas Jackson and Noni Madueke "are all good" ahead of facing Tottenham on Thursday.

"Cole is back, he is okay. Noni is better. Nico is better. They are all good," he said, speaking at the pre-match news conference.

Good news all around.

Lavia injured again before even playing a game. You’ve got to be fucking kidding me…

I said it at the time, spending that much on Enzo - Caicedo - Lavia was a waste of money.

That Lavia fee could have been spent on a striker or a CB.

🤕 Romeo Lavia has played 14 matches for Chelsea in 20 months.

He's started 9 games, completing zero.

He's played more than 45 minutes just 7 times. (@tomcoley49)

Was looking at transfermarkt and it shows Lavia's last 'full appearance' was in December against Villa and that was 86 minutes.

At least our scouts know how to sign injury prone players (Fofana, Lavia, Pulisic and many previous).

I was delighted when we signed him and when he has actually played he’s been one of our best players. He’s an unbelievable talent.

There’s gotta be something sports science wise that can be done to help him avoid these constant injuries. This is somehow worse than Reece, ffs.

Him and Reece are just simply past anything to do with sports science, physio or whatever you want to call it

They are both simply broken players that will never be fit for along period of time.

What's more worrying with Lavia is he isn't making games and breaking down in training

Thankfully we’ve got Santos and the kid from Sporting coming in this summer so we have plenty of quality depth and options on the way. For this reason I am not ready to give up on Lavia and sell him. We can afford to keep giving him chances to stay fit for a long stretch if he’s not a player who we depend on for big minutes.
