Trevoh has just arrived too, so while the other CBs have been training under Maresca for 6mo +, Trevoh is new to it.

For me Acheampong was far far worse than Trevoh and against much lesser opposition; no, the opposition won't go any easier on you if you are young and frail.

I'd argue Bournemouth are better than City currently (crazy thing to have said even 4 months ago). Infact I'd probably go as far as saying they were the in form team in the league (save for Liverpool) when we played them.

Fair, they are certainly more competitive w/ their high press.

I think the point remains about physique though; opponents who see him in our lineup will just pin their strongest, biggest player on him. That was very effective against Bournemouth, so much so Maresca panicked and subbed Josh off immediately after--for the record I'd have done the same.

A small bit of faith restored in Maresca after Sanchez's dropping. Long overdue.

We have to take advantage of other results this weekend.

That's not nearly as important as to find out whether Jorgensen is good enough or not... or even better than Sanchez.
I hope to not even have that answer today: like we dominate and win the match without testing our goalie too much.

Personally I don't think much of WHU as a team, but we haven't been playing very well lately.

If you aren't directly contributing to the opposition scoring, how can someone be deemed worse? All Jorgensen needs to do is the basics well enough, and the place should be his till the summer, where Petrovic deserves another go.

So do I. Another performance similar to Wolves is what we need (minus the GK howler).

As I type, Madueke should have given us the lead.

Something can always get worse, I'm afraid.

If Filip causes us to lose several points until the end of the season and costs us the CL, would that restore faith in Maresca as well? That's why I don't think that's nearly as important as Filip proving he's good enough, to mostly like the Goalkeeping and other coaches (more so than Maresca himself).
