Ok, but City can actually say “fuck it, it’s just preseason”. They coach has been around for 8 years, most of the squad been together for many seasons, they are a great and established team. We are again a side with many new players and new coach, so it’s very worrying that 300 million midfield of Enzo/Caicedo/Lavia/KDH looks like some moron schoolboy team.

This is definitely the most bizarre line up we've seen so far. Mudryk RW, Malo LW, Nkunku up top. Bit bizarre, Malo and Mudryk both look awkward playing on these sides, I wonder what the point is?

Who are these "new players", as KDH and Tosin only come to mind. It's effectively the same core trying to play a style they aren't cut out for with a false nine. Early signs aren't encouraging at all.

I remember when we used to say that the only way to justify playing in the Europa League was to win it. Now, in these reduced circumstances, I think we have to say the same thing about the Conference League. Anyway it's a part of football now so we have to complete it again.
