Michael Mancienne is the player chosen to take the right-back slot from suspended José Bosingwa, giving the 21-year-old his full home debut.

That is the only change from the team that started against Juventus midweek.

Ricardo Quaresma, ineligible for that game, is back on the bench, as is Juliano Belletti, available again following a minor injury.

Wigan make just one change, Paul Scharner coming into midfield for suspended Ben Watson. Amir Zaki, who has not scored in 2009, is expected to play as a lone striker.

Chelsea will line-up in a 4-3-3 formation as follows:

1 Petr Cech

42 Michael Mancienne,

33 Alex

26 John Terry ©

3 Ashley Cole

13 Michael Ballack

12 John Mikel Obi

8 Frank Lampard

21 Salomon Kalou

11 Didier Drogba

39 Nicolas Anelka

Substitutes: 40 Hilario, 2 Branislav Ivanovic, 19 Paulo Ferreira, 35 Juliano Belletti, 15 Florent Malouda, 18 Ricardo Quaresma, 9 Franco Di Santo.

Wigan are expected to line-up in the following 4-4-1-1 formation:

Kirkland; Melchiot ©, Boyce, Bramble, Figueroa; Brown, Scharner, Cattermole, N'Zogbia; Kapo; Zaki.

Subs: Kingson, Edman, Rod
