<h2>Chelsea’s French winger has been linked to the Roman club once again, and the latest reports suggest that Jeremy Menez could be the key in the deal.

On August 28 this year, Jeremy Menez of Monaco signed a four year deal with the Italian giants Roma, as he was seen as an ideal replacement for the departing Amantino Mancini and Ludovic Giuly.

But with the season approaching the halfway stage, Menez has yet to shine in the Italian capital, and there have been reports emerging in recent times suggesting that he could be offloaded by the club as early as January.

The Giallorossi have been in search of another winger for quite some time now and several names have been linked to the club, including Chelsea's Florent Malouda.

However, the French international has refuted such claims as he has sworn his loyalty to Chelsea. In spite of this, Roma are still keen on attaining the services of the 28-year-old, and according to Tuttomercatoweb, they may have found a way of luring the winger to the Italian capital.

The Giallorossi are reportedly set to make an offer at the end of the season, a proposal that will include an undisclosed sum of money, as well as Menez, who may be able to rediscover his best form in England.

Chelsea are yet to comment on these latest reports, however with Malouda nearing the age of 30, and with Menez destined for great things in the future, the transfer may be beneficial to both clubs.

Florent Malouda's future at Chelsea is in doubt as Spanish club Villarreal prepare a £9m bid for him. The figure is way short of Chelsea's valuation of the 28-year-old French winger, who signed for the Blues from Lyon for £13.5m in July 2007.But after manager Luiz-Felipe Scolari announced all his players were available at the right price, Villarreal are ready to test his resolve.

Malouda has been a big disappointment at Stamford Bridge despite showing early promise when he first arrived in England.

This season he has suffered from injuries and poor form and has managed only a woeful four goals in the league in the space of 18 months.

Sky Sports News understands Juventus have approached Chelsea regarding a loan deal for Florent Malouda.

The French winger was persistently linked with the Stamford Bridge exit over the summer after the arrival of manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Speculation has failed to go away following Malouda's inconsistent form in England after a big-money move from Lyon in 2007.

And it is now reported that Juventus' former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranieri has made an enquiry regarding the France international.

Juventus currently sit second in Serie A and Ranieri is eager for reinforcements as he looks to loosen Inter Milan's stranglehold on the title.
