Spike 12,049
At the end of the day it looks like Sterling just wants to win trophies, and if he feels like he can't do that at Liverpool than that is fair, it is his opinon afterall. You can't fault the lad for being ambitious. To some players it just isn't about money, it seems. He is a great player, he is going to make a lot of money whereever he goes, whomever he plays for but the same can't be said for glory and trophies.I'm not taking a shot at Liverpool or defending Sterling. This is just what the situation looks like from me end of the table.

Fulham Broadway 17,313
Quite funny that Man Utd are sniffing around- oh how the the vermin must be fuming, and the streets around Liverpool will soon smell of burning polyester -again.

manpe 10,861
If he aims for trophies then signing for Arsenal would quickly dismiss that theory. The only place to be in England for trophies is Chelsea.

Styles 9,790
Such a git moving from Liverpool so soon! Wouldn't make it into anyone in the top 4's starting line up, possibly City if he gets the chance. If he rots on the bench at Munich or City it serves him right. I admire his ambition, however he thinks he's better than he really is.Don't be daft, a guy like Oscar gets plenty of games for us. Sterling would start 35+ for us easily.

At the moment I see nothing else than the new SWP.Cant fault him for itchy feet though when he looks round the dressing room and sees Ballotelli on £80 000 a week and Glen Johnson on £100 000 a week. Sterling, or rather his agent, just like his employers in Boston, is questioning the merits of financial fair play.
Pizy 18,909
I bet if we act now or very soon, he comes here.Yep. I think if we offered £30-35m or so they'd sell just to get rid quickly and reinvest the cash.
Special Juan 28,141
His finishing and his loose ball issues can be worked on, it shouldn't be discarded as quick as that for me. Under Mourinho I think he would flourish, I honestly do. 20 years old....fucking 20, what an age this lad is at to build on and nurture in a position we need to fill. Not just that but he can play as the #10 as well and with Willian seemingly being a lot better that attack could be fucking scary.Sterling Willian HazardCosta
Fulham Broadway 17,313
Liverpool owners, Fenway Sports, have reiterated today that they wont let him go. We know this is bollocks but if they stand firm – as they did with Arsenal over Suárez – it will cost Sterling more than £3m in lost wages given his rejection of a £100,000-a-week contract. I bet you that if Sterling moves to Chelsea or City he will not start more than a third of the matches. If that turns out to be true, you won't say a single word about Oscar all season. Name what you'd want from me if that turns out to be false...
Madmax 9,219
He's a fantastic talent and I think he'd do well for us but if the desperate Manc duos are in running I can't see us getting in the tug of war. Someone would have to break the British transfer record or get near to it to get him.
KevinAshburner 1,270
It's all over twitter by verified accounts that Sterling's contract talks have been cancelled with Sterling's Agent.
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
and for a reported 40-50m fee? pffft hope City/Arsenal waste money on him....also have we not learnt our lessons? do not give the scouse bastards any more money! ...Who do you reckon we should sign then? Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
We need the best englishmen to carry on being the best team in England. Sterling is young and already an international, I can't think of any other English player who ticks as many boxes in terms of our style as Raheem. Also if he asks to leave, which he will do, there is no way the fee will be 50m. At 20 yrs old he still has his entire career ahead of him there is no way Liverpool would turn down good money out of spite
