Werner for me is the dream signing of next summer. Do I realistically believe it will happen? No, there will be too many more appealing buyers. The slim chance we do have of signing him would evaporate if we miss out on CL footie next season.

No way in hell Marina pays that amount for fucking Zaha, she is notorious for penny pinching for far better players. Just not gonna happen. 40-45 mill is the highest I can see her go tbf and Palace will ultimately take that and run.

Well, just got off the phone with my father

and he says I am utterly delusional to think that Werner and Håland will go for less than £70 to £80m a piece (or far more in Werner's case)

he says there is a bidding war going on and to toss any thought of near release clause prices into the bin

so

I guess I can flush most all hope there down the shitter, as he is almost never wrong (he even told me I was dead wrong to be so excited over Bakayoko, that he was not EPL level (he lives in Monaco part-time, in La Condamine so sees a lot of their games) and that we would sorely regret not signing Bernardo (and to avoid Sidibe like the plague)

Hmm, isn't it so that if a club meets the release clause, that club can already negotiate a contract with the player? So in theory all interested clubs would only need to submit the exact fee in the clause, which then allows opening contract negotiations and then the player will ultimately decide who's offer to take. Why would anybody need to bid higher if the outcome is the same? Or does he mean that by the time he is on the move, his release clause will have risen?

maybe 45m MAX

no way anything over

80m is rape

he is bloody 30yo after two full sesons, ffs

his salary will be 200K pw or more

so we will get basically 3 (3.5 MAX) peak years max out of him

with it costing around £45m to £50m a year for that peak span (amortised fee plus salary)

and when he is 31yo we will be lucky to get 10-15m for him, especially with his massive salary

my father said that the 20m euro RC was only for RB Leipzig

he says Manure alone will toss up to 80-90m euros to RB Salzburg

 

and I have to LOLOLOL again at people who say clubs only can have 1 good striker

that is some numpty logic and I will dismiss it every time

we are going to end up with Morata 2.0 (Dembele) for around what we tossed out for that Gelled-up cunt

Don't know who we'll get ultimately but hope we conclude it quickly. Even if it is zaha, don't be faffing about for a month and then signing him anyway. Just hope we've laid the groundwork already and can get going asap

You should know our history, there's no evidence that show we have learned our mistakes. Last year we announced Sarri when the pre-season already started after faffing around with ADL for 2 months, just because we didn't want to pay the compensation fee around £8m to Napoli.
