We didn't United pretending other teams wanted him and they fought them off.

The fact that Mbeumo said I want United and they took that long to finalise the deal....😆

Newcastle must be pissed off, they lost their 2 striker targets to PL rivals and Isak is being linked to a massive move away.

There’s not a chance we’d move for Mbeumo when we have Neto, Estevão, and Palmer who can all play on that right wing. Quenda too when he comes next year.

Quenda is an interesting one as he played about 60% on the right and 40% on the left for Sporting last season.

I like the idea of Quenda/Neto swapping wings, Estevao can play right and drift into the middle as required once he adjusts to PL pace/intensity.

I dont see why players like Sterling refuse to take a pay cut, I mean if they move to a club thats prepared to take them they will still  be earning millionaire wages and then at least get to play. Anyway I was never a fan even before he came to us, having said there's quite a few other players as well I would never go for. Can't understand the reasoning in some of these players they brought in.

An unnamed Champions League club are keen to sign Sterling. Chelsea will accept a bid of £20m.

🙌🙌

Chelsea are open to offers for Trevoh Chalobah. This is because Fofana is seen as ahead of him and the player himself might decide his future is better served elsewhere. (@SJohnsonSport)

It's Newcastle for sure if it's PL.

Because you can earn more without puting so much effort? not to mention you don't have to move to another place?

I haven't watched too much of Xavi Simons - is he really what we need? Won't we have another 'Nkunku/Felix' problem - he won't displace Palmer as 10, so we will try to shoehorn into another position, where he won't be so good?

Xavi can play across the front three, and we have to be very wary of running Palmer into the floor next season. We have CL and a shit ton of games coming our way after a very short/long summer, players will be tired as things go on and rotation will be key.

Talks between us and Simons camp for Xavi  will continue today...goal is to reach agreement, Xavi is open to CFC and talks with Leipzig, in the event of an agreement Chelsea can imagine playing with two number tens.

We have also started club to club talks with Atletico for Veiga, Veiga has said yes to Atleti
