Bayern have pulled out of the Tah deal. He would be available for under 25m euros and at relatively modest wages. He would instantly be our best CB and cost less than any of the average goalies we regularly sign. Not sure he would like to join but even if so, our owners would never do such a sensible deal sadly .

Would indeed be a good signing but we surely need to ship 1 of Badiashile or Disasi to make room first.

Almost every decision these owners make looking amateurish honestly, rewarding him for having a decent season? What happens if he plays poor this season, Cole made sense was elite, carried the whole team and was one of the best players in the league, Jackson had a decent season nothing more.

It’s just the same exact rehashed stories every day now.

“Gallagher move has stalled as Chelsea and Atleti try to find a solution.”

”Chelsea want Osimhen but the terms need to change.”

”NapOli are ready to finally push forward with Lukaku.”

But then nothing fucking happens. These moves have been in the works for weeks now with no real movement seemingly.

This is about the way this has panned out, this bloke is the club captain FFS, he adores the club yet is being treat like a piece of meat. None of this is on Connor, it's on the club and owners, simple as that and let me tell if you half the cunts who are remaining here or we buy in the future had half the passion he had then we are on to something. He may not be some peoples cup of tea or the best in the world but when he shoves that shirt on you get 100% commitment and graft, he'd die for the badge, some would piss on it

The problem is, he's replaceable and he was supposed to be the FFP cash cow (same as Chalobah).

For whatever reasons, Gallagher and the club couldn't come to an agreement on the right contract moving forward and now the only thing left on the table is selling him before he walks out on a free transfer.

As for Club Captain, I honestly haven't seen a proper captain of this team since JT retired, Cahill and Azpi tried to carry the load for a few years but since both of them have departed, which player can you look at and say that he's the captain to lead this side to at least a top 4 finish?

The Osimhen/Lukaku situation is actually funny.
Napoli want a cheap deal for Lukaku but they also want to make a decent profit on Osimhen but because PSG aren't really keen anymore, they don't have a bidding war going on for him.

The Gallagher situation is so much clearer, they only agreed to do a deal if we took Samu off their hands and the fact that Samu's deal fell apart last minute meant that Atletico backed out of the deal.

Reports said that they actually wanted to keep Samu and they were already looking to offload Felix so I doubt its dead

I've come to the conclusion I really want osimhen, he looks quality and the way we cross or pass into the box he should have no problem getting 20+ goals a season

He is on £65k a week and scored 14 PL goals for us, clearly considered a key player, imo he should totally be rewarded and this model of getting them in low and regularly increasing salaries based on performance makes sense.

Spurs also used to do this shit all the time, tie people down to very long contracts on not big money and then regularly give them increases to get more and more years on the contract and keep them just about happy enough to stay despite being paid 50%-75% of what they could get elsewhere.

Pinned Harry Kane to them for his entire prime years like that.

Obviously it depends what he is moving onto but I doubt it is crazy, probably £100k to £125k pw, given rumour Cole moved to £150k pw (bargain btw).

The way we are handling wages is many orders of magnitude better & more intelligent than under the previous regime.

A striker with his minutes last season should score 15-20 goals, we're basically promoting mediocrity here, he didn't outperform anything, he scored the bar minimum a normal striker with his minutes should score. Giving him a wage bump for this is ridiculous, either have a stunning season or 2-3 regular season of consistency before getting a wage increase, even 1/3 of his goals happened in that match against 9 men Tottenham, this is a joke either way you look at it.

Napoli have made a proposal to Chelsea for a player-exchange:

Chelsea would sign Victor Osimhen.

Napoli would get Romelu Lukaku, Cesare Casadei and €45M.

I'd take this but we should never give him wages above 250k not worth it.
