Something over nothing really. I expect the Burnley boys were asking for their money back.

Guess they're feeling the crunch after all... :P

ahhh good old dennis!

Never see Drogba doing something like that he's an absolute joke some of the time.

he's meant to be a proffessional why react like that and it could of hit a little kid or something.

Have you ever seen Drogba throwing stones at a boy off the pitch like Wise did recently? Have you ever seen Wise doing the charity works Drogba did in Africa?

DD shouldn't have done this but he got emotional and lose it. It was childish but he's said he sorry. I remember Lamps nearly got in a fight with Fabregas in the CC final a few seasons ago. How about that punch Lampard gave that Bolton player? So DD isn't the only player who has lost it. They're humans and humans make mistake.

Okay, he shouldn't have done it, but I think the media have surely blown this out of proportion. A one game suspension and a slap on the wrist is all he needs - he has said he is sorry in the media and that should be the end of it.

He's a Chelsea player so that's a given.

Exactly.Imgain if St gerrard had done this.Been a case of 'Awww look at him saying sorry, took guts blah blah,a great role model' or some crap like that

And yeh it could've hurt someone but obvious it didnt otherwise they would've said.

And if he hadnt thrown it back doubt anything been said about them chucking stuff at all been all 'ooo it was emottion' blah no doubt from scummy Poll

Mail recokons (so must be true) 3 match ban,ref apprantly didnt see it :S and they might look at the figure incident as a seperate incident :S but hey believe when you hear it

And fuck off Poll!!!Your not even a ref anymore, nout to do with it so why the fuck do you have a whole page of your view!!!

Ruining the beautiful game?!You bloody did that!!

It's amazing how emotional and overly moralistic British football fans -- and red top pundits -- get about these sorts of incidents. And what is also astonishing to me, observing from 4000 miles away, is how selective and visceral the reactions seem to be to specific players.

Some players -- Steven Gerrard being the best example -- seemingly can do no wrong in the British public's eyes, no matter how much wrong (diving, intimidating refs, TERRIBLE games for England) they are proven to do. Other players -- Lampard is one example but I think Didier is the best example -- simply will not be admired, even by "supporters" of their own club, no matter what they do that is positive on the pitch -- and will "never be forgiven" for the VERY few things they do (comparatively) that are not positive.

Didier's behavior is sometimes hard to defend. No question. But the times he has really lost it on the pitch in a Chelsea shirt in a manner that hurt us are SO few and far between when you think about it rationally that I defy any intelligent person to say he has been anything other than a fabulous "servant of the club." And when you take into account the ABUSE he has gotten from row upon row of baying idiots, many of them wearing the shirts of HIS OWN CLUB, since the first day he got here, it is amazing how well he has maintained his composure overall. He has probably been one of the most unfairly derided and despised players in English football since we signed him for a transfer fee that has since been equalled and eclipsed several times and which HE HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH.

We should be supporting him in a controversy like this. You think Liverpool supporters wouldn't be supporting Sir Steven of Merseyside if he was similarly provoked by fans and had a similar reaction? There would probably be a government investigation of the behavior of the Burnley fans to determine what they did that would make Sir Steven behave that way. Why does Drogba not get the same support -- or even benefit of the doubt -- from Chelsea fans?

There was definately racism from the Burnley fans...

Disgraceful

They wanted a reaction out of Drogba and they got it

They have quickly removed that topic conveniant eh... i sat in the mhu and at first thought they were singing you fat bastard to lampard then realised he was no where near the away end , drogba and malouda were i think you can all gather what those chants actually were !!Also a lot of reports of them singing where's your mother gone to lampard when taking corners , i have reported the racist chanting using the FA kick it out link and urge any other Chelsea fans to do the same if they heard the chants. This is not on and their fans need to be punished.

THIS IS FUCKING STUPID, its how the world is today, you punch someone and they punch you make the second person gets done for it

if you throw a coin at someone you have paid to watch and see play football and he throws it back that is how it should be, am sorry but i am not and never have been a drogba fan but if you think cus you have paid £30 or £40 quid to go and watch a football match you have the right to throw things?

he shouldnt have gone it but i think its aload of bollox! if someone threw something at me i would do the same back! they got that many cams they should try and find out who done it and they should get a fan! or life ban from watching live football!
