Yup. Think a 3-year deal would make sense in relation to his age and market value. CurlyHairLikeLuiz

the wes 7,212
John Obi Mikel’s agent confirms he’s put Chelsea contract talks on hold Jamie Sanderson for Metro.co.ukWednesday 9 Mar 2016 12:45 pm 43 John Obi Mikel is keeping his options open (Picture: Getty Images) John Obi Mikel’s agent has confirmed the player has put talks over a new contract at Chelsea on hold until the summer. Mikel, who joined the Blues a decade ago, has been invented under Guus Hiddink and the club had been keen to renew his current contract. However, the 28-year-old’s agent says he has put talks over a new deal on hold and will wait until the end of the season before sorting out his future. ‘Chelsea have approached him for an extension,’ his agent explained. ‘But he said after the season he’ll decide. ‘He has many teams interested – almost three clubs in China want him.’ Mikel is in the prime of his career and his next contract is likely to be his last big one – so getting it right will be very important. the wes 7,212
Why is are board offering Mikel a new deal and we don't have a new manager yet it should be up to the new manager when he comes in if Mikel should get a new deal

DYC. 7,542
He has many teams interested. Goes on to say almost three Chinese teams want him. That really made me laugh haha. What doest that mean anyway? Almost three clubs. His agent needs to work on his selling pitch. The Skipper
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Completely lost Rabiot for the 1st goal. I have no idea what Hiddink sees in him. His time at the club has been up for a while. No idea what he's still doing here. TheIceMan, bellion and bethos1

Play an under performing CDM/CM or Mikel who's playing better? Hes been a big part of how we've turned it around because he gives Cesc a bit more freedom to play at times and that is very underrated by many on here. ....waiitng for someone to say play RLC instead of a DM next to Fabregas..
