So err, can we talk about Pulisic? Is the real Pulisic gonna turn up in the Champions League next week?

I know he's not our only inconsistent attacker right now but what exactly is going on with him? Just about a month ago, he looked like he was getting back to the form he showed last season but apart from the Real Madrid games, everything just went up in smoke and he has been largely ineffective in a lot of the recent games. He's not taking players on, he's not playing with the same self swagger and decisiveness that he displayed last season. I sometimes wonder whether his individualistic style of play can feel at odd with the rest of the team.

Also, I notice that Pulisic gets similar treatment to Mount. When he plays and plays poorly, no one really says anything (compared to others) but when he doesn't play, people will be complaining that he should have started etc and then you have the American fans as well as the media making a fuss over his selection from across the pond.

He is better off the bench when teams have tired legs, lets hope he does not start on Saturday.

Pulisic has 13 open play assists in Chelsea shirt in around 4750mins.

Mount has 5 in almost 8000mins. I know who I rate more in every aspect of the game.

Me too. The one who is actually an attacking player. Who's been shit at attacking this season.

How is Mount not an attacking midfielder.He is constantly played as one of the two no.10s in our system

Anyway. ALL of our attackers have been shit this season. The only one who has been remotely up to his usual standard is Giroud but only if given a run of games.

It's quite difficult to put a time limit on how long you give a player to start performing consistently well.

We didnt keep KDB or Salah for long enough, which will always haunt us, but how long before we give up on Puli or CHO and move them on?

Not sure if CHO is really all that, but no doubt Puli has the talent to be a top player for us.

Can't wait forever though, so I'd give him next season to start producing and sell him in the summer of 2022 if he doesn't. Same with CHO, Werner, Kai and James too.

Just because he plays there doesn't mean he's effective. You just have to look at Mount's overall game and realise he shouldn't be spearheading our attack. He's a B2B midfielder and virtually the only reason he is playing is to provide additional support to the two CMs and how good he is in a press.

The reason why Pulisic isn't get much stick as Mount really because no one talks about Pulisic as much as Mount.

However that doesn't mean Pulisic hasn't been awful, he has been awful and a major disappointment. I thought this season the real Pulisic is going to stand up.

At least with Mount he came from the academy, but we paid big bucks for Pulisic and we haven't gotten anything from our investment (and if we did, it's little).

Kovacic is the one really gets away with non performances.

Without doubt one of the most vastly  overrated players to pull on a Chelsea shirt. Cannot wait yo see the back of this fraud. Him and the equally bang average Jorgi have been absolutely killing us in midfield these past three years.

Mount has been described as an "attacking midfielder" in a lot of spaces and he himself as well as Tuchel have talked about wanting to provide more assists, to score more goals especially. So, is it not fair to judge him on the G + A output?

I agree with MB. This is the main reason Mount plays. But I also agree that he should be judged on g/a.

Even Lampard described his 433 with 2 number 8s basically like with 2 number 10.

As reported by Sports Mole, Lampard was speaking after the Morecambe win yesterday.
