The Giver is actually pretty good, even if the story isn't too dissimilar from previous movies of the same genre. Solid storyline.

Though the idea of carrying a baby through long distance walk (mountains, canyons) and harsh weather climate seems rather nonsensical.

I agree, it did go overboard on her abilities. In my opinion it made the movie boring and uninteresting really.

Been on my Netflix watch list for ages and it was solid. Nicolas Cage and John Cusack were very good and Vanessa Hudgens was smoking hot!! Worth a punt, based on a true story.

Amazing film. Never actually heard of it until I had found it on netflix. Brilliant performances from Freeman and Denzel Washington.

Guess I am back into a 'military movie/show binge' thanks to this one! Well worth a watch!
