the wes 7,212
Joe Cole has emerged as a shock target for Rafa Benitez has he prepares for a mass overhaul at Anfield during the forthcoming summer months. Cole, has been at Stamford Bridge since 2003 after a £6.6million move as part Roman's Empire building scheme and is worth in the region of £11million. It appears that Benitez has finally lost all patience with Harry Kewell after a string of mediocre performances and looks set to end his injury-savaged career at the end of the season, prompting Rafa to go in search of a quality winger who will bring creativity and ambition to the team, with Chelsea's Joe Cole emerging as a realistic replacement. Cole, who can happily play on either wing, was constantly linked with a return back to his former club at West Ham United throughout 2007 but would welcome the opportunity to continue playing in Europe's elite competition, the Champions League, so providing Rafa and his Red army can march onwards and upwards to that all-important fourth place in the league, we will continue in attracting players of Joe's calibre.http://kop-tv.com/go/transfer-news/Chelsea...rgeted-by-rafa/ Edited June 2, 2010 by BlueLion

Stamford 3
If and thats a big if, Rafa Beneath us signs all the Chelsea players he has been linked with, are they wanting to be us ? After all the Fat Spaniards Criticism about the way we play, you would have thought that buying half of Chelsea, would of been the last thing he would be thinking about. Whoever wrote or started that story must be on Crack, I think there is as much chance of me shagging Christina than Joey going to the Mickeys. PaulHopkins 1
Daily Star: JOE Cole’s future at Chelsea is in doubt. The England midfielder is still seething from being left out of the Carling Cup Final side against Spurs last Sunday. Cole, 26, has since held talks with under-fire coach Avram Grant over his shock demotion but the pair failed to settle matters. Now sources sources close to the player suggest he would leave if Grant’s rotation system is still in place next season and he is a regular victim. The Chelsea camp was stunned by Cole’s shock Wembley omission – he only came on as an extra-time sub – and believe he could have saved them from their 2-1 defeat. Joe is a quiet person. He doesn’t like causing a fuss but being left out hurt An insider “Joe is a quiet person. He doesn’t like causing a fuss but being left out hurt,” said an insider. Cole, a scorer at Upton Park, yesterday, was a success under previous boss Jose Mourinho. But the frustrated player knows he can’t be guaranteed an England place if he is a victim of rotation and would seek a first-team place elsewhere.
