🇫🇷 Olivier Giroud

Tbf, we wouldn't be asking him to run in behind and play on the shoulders of defenders to spin in for a counter attack. He's a pure, old fashioned #9. Could play with Morata or the same super dangerous impact sub that he has been at Arse.

The fact that Arse fans all over the web are crying about this potential move says a lot. Many of them are saying seeing Giroud in Chelsea blue would be more gutting than seeing Sanchez at United. They know if he's back fit he can be a big asset to us.

And? Joe Hart is England's national team's GK and he is fucking shite. Giroud is bang average at best.

You're comparing England to France. LMAO!

Yes I'm comparing 2 positions for 2 big national teams. Giroud won't be starting any games soon.

I'm his fan because the links to everyone else aren't any better.

A replacement wouldn't be needed, if he actually got regular game time.

He ain't getting game time over a 70M player despite the fact he can't hit his arse with a banjo.

Who's replacing him? The striker that can't score in Spain or the one in similar form at Arsenal

Price tag shouldn't have anything to do with selection if he isn't doing the job, he was bought for.

Best man for the job isn't our £70m recruit.

It does though, that is exactly how football works now.

It does to begin with. Things change when a certain individual costs us multiple times this MONTH alone

I will give you an example of why you are wrong....Bakayoko has been picked for the last god knows how many games, despite even at his best performances, being completely average.

That might be a bit OTT. When he is fit, he is handy that is true. And he is the type of striker Conte loves big, slow, great hold up play like Pelle, Lllorente or a fit Carroll. Remember how he decided the fa cup final last year when he laid it on a plate for the 2-1 with a great run and cross? He is capable of some sublime goals at times. At loan will be perfect. In summer we can then find a proper striker that is better than all these washed up names we have been linked with including Dzeko .

We hardly had any fit/available options in midfield more often than not (Ampadu ain't starting in the league). He's played more out of necessity in the last few weeks but has finally shown some improvement.

Michy has been available almost all season IIRC

Ah back to the availability option again, isn't that going back to my original point of the board not releasing we are short of numbers from last summer? This squad should be more or less stacked with options, to a point it's not far away from like for like replacements. We are worried to play youth so that leaves us with a single layer of cover...Going into the first game of the season we had 2 strikers it's not fit or argument worthy to moan about options when the people in charge are not prepared to strengthen and fatten out the squad.

Giroud probably the best available fall-back option, I wouldn't mind that. Considering our renewed ambition and financial incapability, a Barkley-Palmieri-Giroud window for January wouldn't be bad. In fact they address our most desperate needs, two of them being for the now and future, and one capable non-CL tied stop-gap for the now. Our squad would actually improve.[emoji106]
