Is anyone concerned we're not playing any more games before the season starts to keep the squad on their toes ?

Surely even one more game would have been ideal to keep the momentum going.

True....But injuries can also be picked up in training. Maka was just as capable of taking someone out in training as he was during a game

Even so.....I'd still prefered to have had another run out before Pompey.

i've been thinking the same thing. Our friendly games have been arranged quite poorly this year. Surely they could have arranged one more local weekday game?

No if we played one more game the third of our team that isn't currently using wheelchairs because of age would be injured. I say we don't play any games unless our old folks get their afternoon nap and their extra pudding cups.

Happened over the weekend. 2 first team teams took on 2 teams made up of youth and reserve teams....

I think the gap was left mainly because our pre season tour was so hectic with all the travelling that it was probably better to not play any more games and have high intensity training.,

Lol and the 'youth' of Man you you know the likes of Neville,VDS,Gigs etc dont have that problem hence the extra game..ok its a cup game but hey you know we wouldnt been able to cope as said..the oldies we are

I'd say it was because the club anticipated being in the Community Shield.
