Elliott 7
Now come on that's rubbish. The driving instructors are more than adept at teaching you the basics, at least they should be, and to be honest, better you learn them off a professional. Elliott 7
I'd rather just get a lesson and go then sit around for 6 months feeling like a prat waiting for my dad to have some spare time. I didn't have the first clue what I was doing on my first lesson, so the guy just drove me to some quiet roads and taught me. No big deal. Kez 2,727
Nah i wouldn't wait around for it like CJ has, It's just for that extra confidence but only if it's there for me otherwise i'll just do the lessons anyway

Elliott 7
You know, I drive my first car when I was 9 (I kid you not, a lot of kids do that in Indonesia) so I don't know what the fuss is about. I mean just do it, really. Well it's illegal for anyone under the age of 17 to drive a car on public roads and then they must earn their license to be able to do it unsupervised. You could practice in private I suppose, however not many people have access to that kind of land.
