Now come on that's rubbish. The driving instructors are more than adept at teaching you the basics, at least they should be, and to be honest, better you learn them off a professional.

I'd rather just get a lesson and go then sit around for 6 months feeling like a prat waiting for my dad to have some spare time. I didn't have the first clue what I was doing on my first lesson, so the guy just drove me to some quiet roads and taught me. No big deal.

I didn't ever drive a car before my first leasson in December, didn't have a clue what I was doing but my instructor was awesome and did the basics with me! The rest is history! Got my little blue Clio yesterday! Had to be blue!

Good Luck to you all!

You know, I drive my first car when I was 9 (I kid you not, a lot of kids do that in Indonesia) so I don't know what the fuss is about. I mean just do it, really.

Well it's illegal for anyone under the age of 17 to drive a car on public roads and then they must earn their license to be able to do it unsupervised. You could practice in private I suppose, however not many people have access to that kind of land.

My dad said he'd take me out for some lessons but i said no, wanted to get the lessons started as soon as possible, no point fucking about if you wanna be on the road.

all i can say to you Kez is that dont ever get nervous or panic...that's the most important thing ;)

forget about crashing others as they themselves will be more alert to avoid you :D

just relax all the way...
