True. But like with the England national team, I'm sure a lot of selection is based on which club players come from. Willian barely got a look in for Brazil for example before moving here.

Bottom line in all this is the board yet again didn't get their window of need sorted out and have to dig through the pile that Stoke and Hull dig through to get players in. Conte needs a heart to heart with Roman about ditching the imbociles handling transfers.

Yeah but he featured regularly for Spain's youth sides before getting the senior call-up. The same can't be said about Alonso.
