I honestly feel Maksimovic to Napoli is nothing to do with Koulibaly to Chelsea. Naples have got enough money for Higuain so they have money to spend. Also Maksimovic and Koulibaly will make a great defence for them.

Lots of talk that Torino finally give up and agree to sell Maksimovic to Napoli. For over a month there was a story that Napoli only hold on Koulibaly until they sign a replacement. That was the only stumbling block. They also are close to sign Caceres.

I wonder if that apparent offer for DL isn't reminder to Napoli that we still have money to spend and can spend it elsewhere. Will be interesting.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis spoke to Naples based Radio Kiss Kiss to discuss the market that has just come to pass.

“We bought Tonelli and Maksimovic not because we didn’t believe in our own, but ahead of the AFCON [held in early 2017]. Tonelli had already played with Sarri, and we had tried to get Maksimovic for nearly two years. But the defense was already well equipped.
